Zildjian's newest drumstick comes from one of their long-standing cymbal artists, Danny Seraphine. Danny's legendary integration of jazz chops with a rock feel has been cited as a major influence on many of today's great drummers. His stick features a grip groove at the proper fulcrum point of the stick. This facilitates proper hand positioning and comfort. Constructed from U.S. Select Hickory, it features a teardrop-shaped tip for full and articulate sounds.

Comments about Zildjian Danny Seraphine Drumsticks:

I play traditional grip and these are well balanced in your hands. Nice tip bead, sticks are matched in weight, if you are a user of 5A sticks, you'll love these.

        Nice cross-genre choice!

Comments about Zildjian Danny Seraphine Drumsticks:

Zildjian Danny Seraphine Artists Series Drumsticks
I really like these sticks! I picked up a pair about two weeks ago when my local music store first got them in. Admittedly, I first noticed them because I've been a long-time fan of Danny Seraphine's work, mostly in Chicago, but CTA I guess too. That being said, I don't buy sticks because of the name on them, but because I think they will be good for my playing. And they are.
I've found that the groove is great for two purposes: Makes the stick easy to hold onto (and I like this method better than the dip grips, personally), and helps to quickly find that perfect balanced fulcrum point for control and speed. Every time I pick them up I instantly feel comfortable, not having to juggle them in my hands until I feel the right grip location and all. Just as Danny has done for years, I play a lot of different genres on drums, sometimes corssing between them quickly within a single session or song. These sticks are a good all around choice for rock, funk, jazz, latin, I've found success and ease of playing with all styles. My one hope is that Zildjian might release these sticks with more tip options. The teardrop is good, but an arsenal of a fine ball-tip, maybe a nylon, etc would be great to roundout the line. Even as-is, these come highly recommended, and for the price you can have plenty on hand.
