Wow. I got these about a year ago with my drumset. They came free so I cant really complain. They are a great upgrade from the original ones I had but still terrible. The crash just sounds so off. Its really bright and doesnt seem to fit with my style of music. The hihats are ok..... well where ok. The top is cracked about an 1 inch and makes a horrible buzzing noise but it started to make the buzzing noise BEFORE it cracked. Overall I dont really like these cymbals but I do recommend them for beginners. They just dont have the Quality sound most zildjians have.
I bought these two years ago and wasn't totally impressed at first. They took a while to finally sound all right now they dont sound half bad. I hit pretty hard and mine havent cracked yet. I do plan to part with the crash though, I don't like it.
For a drummer like my self, this is one of the worst products to come out from Zildjian. I am still a beginner drummer that doesn't hit hard at all and the 16' Crash broke in 3 months. Please, only buy this when you are in need of a replacement set till you get a new set. Don't buy if you are a hard hitter.
These cymbals were some of the best I have ever played. I have owned A customs K's and even some Paiste Signature Series cymbals and these all performed equally or better than my more expensive cymbals. The only reason I put 'quality' at 4.5 was becuase I am a very hard hitter and they only lasted me eight years of recording and touring. If you like playing hardcore, death metal, throat screaming, or polka, these cymbals are perfect.
the planet z series are a good set of cymbals for the beginning drummer. i personally own a set of them and they have held up pretty good for me, i mainly play praise and worship and some lighter rock however. but overall these are a good starting cymbal for beggining drummers, so if you are looking for a good set for more intermediate to pro players i recommend the A series are Zildjian K's (both i have played and they sound fantastic) so yeah the planet Z's are worth the price you pay for them
I have had 3 sets of Zildjan Planet Z's and none of them held up for very long. So if your a hard hitter these are not for you. I have also noticed that out of each set of planet Z's that they each sounded different. I know the last set I bought were 14' Hi Hats , 20' Ride And 16' crash and only the ride sounded alright. The crash and the hi hats sounded like scrap metal.
Truly the greatest cymbals ever conceived by mankind. They produce a beautiful and rich sound only the gods at Zildjian could conceive. I may take these things to hell with me when I die.
I got these for free with my drumset they have the worst sound. i dont know what ziljan was doin when they made these, these really turned dme off from zildjan. buy sabian cymbal there cheaper and sound way better by far. the Zildjian Planet Z Z3 Pack is a complete waste all together.
These are the cheapest cymbals ever. Ive had them 4 like a month, and the hi-hats are bent like crazy, the crash doesnt even work anymore. Its cracked so bad that it doesnt make any sound except for a very quiet ding. Do not buy these at all!!!
