So I "borrowed" this cymbal from my church. And it rules. I had an 18" wuhan before this and it sounded awesome, but this one is definatley better. It's trashy enough but not too trashy, doesnt have to much sustain, like I said, just enough, if you have the money, get this.
I own this cymbal and it is currently in my setup. It has a very low china sound, almost sounds like a going. But it is very good for effects. I would buy this cymbal again.
The sound is quite amazing, the one bad thing about it is you really have to hit it hard to get that sound. Would take it any day against other chinas for rock/metal. 20-in is fairly bright (and there are better chinas with the higher pitch), but the low sound of the 18 made me get it at once. Also, i'm not a big fan or trashy sound, this china is really more of a crash/china, which is perfect for most compared to the extra trash sound you get from the chinaboy ones. BTW, IT'S VERY DURABLE.
It's loud and trashy. Maybe it's not the trashiest but you can use for breakdowns. You get alot more quality than the Zildjian oriental china, but less trashyness. I really don't care about that. This china gives great trashyness and it's loud.Go for it!!!
I play in a band and I play on this china - I'm loving it! It has a good price and a good sound, if you're looking for a china, this would be a nice choice!
This China is crazy loud with a lot of tone. Maybe not the best for quiet music. Great for hardcore metal etc. It looks good but at the same time you don't have to hesitate to really lay into it. Very durable. This cymbal basically pays for itself. Great Buy.
I have played Zildjian cymbals for a few years and am now switching over to meinl but before I did I bought this cymbal. I'm impressed by how crisp and defined this cymbal sounds, it's very loud and has a relatively quick decay (perfect for a nice accent in a metal song) Also, its has great sound either inverted or right side up.
I think this cymbal is extremely awesome, I just wish it was louder..
The whole idea for buying a china for me was to be able to really make the hard and heavy parts of my band's songs stand out and be heard. And it did just that. The Z Custom line is built for aggressive and loud playing, and in this case, it's exactly what I was looking for. This really aggressive china is great for accents with the snare, crashing, and even crash riding. It sounds much better in a band setting than in a solo setting. Another downlfall is that it is not a very versatile cymbal, so don't try playing jazz with this thing. Excellent choice for hard rock and metal.
This is a great loud china. If you are hard of hearing i promise you'll hear this. a rich full sound and all though itll drop u a few bucks its well worth the money.
