Comments about Zildjian Z3 Mega Bell Ride Cymbal:

If I had the opportunity to try it first, I wouldn't have bought it. For a good mix, you'd have to stomp your bass drum really hard and rimshot your snare with all of your might while gently tapping this cymbal. If you were playing a huge gig with drum mics involved, it would be great for that--except for the sound. If you hit the bell, you will be well pleased. If you hit the main playing surface, the tones clash. With a whole band going, it's hard to notice and you'll get used to it after a while, but DO NOT try to crash on this. Ever. That's acceptable on some ride cymbals, but NOT this one. Horrible, overbearing crash sound that's as pleasing as mic feedback. Crash on it once and people on the other side of the planet will hate you for it. On the plus side, I've abused it for about three years now and I can't get it to dent. There's a slight gouge in the bell from sloppy equipment transport to and from gigs, but I imagine that it will survive for about a thousand years. It's best use is for combat. It's massive size would make a tiring, but effective shield. If shot with an arrow, people will hear it and never want to fight you again. Also, you can throw it at people in battle for a devastating effect. Equipping for a war? Buy it. Equipping for a gig? Don't.

        Big Bell

Comments about Zildjian Z3 Mega Bell Ride Cymbal:

This ride is awesome....only the bell, the ride itself sounds...em ok i guess , i have tried all 4 big bell rides...the 22inch sabian, meinl, and the one i have right now is the 24inch from paiste..by far the best one, i got to know the sound if this ride in my buddy's birthday party, i got to play his set for a while and the ride sounded good itself incorporated with the drumset, if the ride is used without any sound of percution from the drummset.....sounds terrible for a near-high end quality cymbal, and when i crashed it., my friend looked at me with an awfull face. I personaly don't like zildjian that much, i only like it for hi-hats, I'm more a Paiste cymbal player, I recomend to buy the 22inch sabian (is a great ride) or if you have the money buy the best one, the 24inch mega power ride from paiste, The ride itself....sounds.....bad =(Zildjian has to make it biger...21inch is not enough room for the vibration and the sound itself.Get either the 22inch sabian or the 24inch paiste

Comments about Zildjian Z3 Mega Bell Ride Cymbal:

This is by far one of the loudest rides I have ever played on. The ride itself has great ping and smoothe aggression like a crash is you hit it hard with the side of your stick, but when you hit the bell... DUCK! It has the most sensitive bell of all!!! Weather your hitting it with the tip of your stick, or giving it the side stick treatment on the bell, it is heavenly! Zildjian hit it not only out of the park, but out of the country! Holy cow!!! Great investment! Best ride ever, PERIOD!
