Quality cymbal sound without a heavy investment. A great all-purpose ride!

Sound grooves and round hammer strikes in a simple circular pattern on the top surface of ZBT cymbals magnify the basic sound of the distinctive ZBT alloy. Includes 18" crash ride and a pair of 13" hi-hats. ZBT Series Hi-Hats produce a sharp and focused sound with an excellent, bright chick sound. The ZBT crash ride produces a cutting ride sound with good crash qualities.

The bright, intense, high-pitched sound of the ZBT series cymbals cuts through the mix of other instruments. The sheet origin and lathing techniques create high-volume projection that speaks quickly and brightly when struck and decays rapidly. Since ZBT cymbals are pressed and lathed from sheets of uniform, high-quality bronze alloy, they are remarkably consistent. The highly polished, brilliant finish looks fresh. Superb all-purpose ride cymbal. Excellent, clean stick articulation with controlled overtones. ZBT-Plus cymbals take Zildjian Bronze Technology up a notch with advanced hammering and lathing, and enhanced sound for versatility, musicality, and professional performance.

I bought these cymbals October 2004, and after a year they're still going strong. Not the slightest crack or bend, even with some occasional hard hitting. The hi hats have a really bright chick, and sound okay when you open them up. The crash-ride sounds pretty nice when played low, but if you need to get loud just go for the bell and you will have plenty of volume. They look really nice, and from my experience they just get better with age, If you take proper care of them.

I bought these as my first cymbals to start with, just to replace the cheap, 30 year old, dirty cymbals that the kit came with. I wasn't really any more impressed with these. They sound horrible - tinny, ring for forever, might as well be hitting garbage can lids, etc. They also bend and mark VERY easily. The crash/ride looked like it was used for months after an hour of playing it. For the price you're paying, you could get a very decent pack of beginner cymbals that you won't be ashamed to have when you get better. If you have the money, high end Zils are great, but I wouldn't go near their beginner packs like these.

Good for Beginners, as the Title States.

By That One Guy-BHxol

I got this cymbal pack with my starter set (Pulse), and it was very good for a while. But honestly, if you're looking for quality, this isn't good if you want to continue down the road. I upgraded by buying expensive used cymbals (Sabian AA Metal-X 16" Crash and 18" Ride, Sabian HHXPlosion 18" Crash). I still use the hi hats- those are decent for a long time.

good for beginners

If your starting out on drums and you don't want to spend a lot of money then this pack is good for you. When I bought my drum set this cymbal set came with it and the cymbals are nothing special but it will make a sound. The 18" crash ride can be used as a crash but is a lot better as a ride and if your looking to buy just one more cymbal buy a crash because the crash ride make a good ride. The hi-hats are pretty good an average chick sound to it.

Nice!

I have had these cymbals for a few months, sound like new. I have been drumming for 7 years now and can't believe I didn't get these before. The only problem with them is that the hi-hats are a bit high pitched but you get used to them. Great cymbals for a great price.

Good for awhile

By Retarded Caveman

The worship leader at my church bought these so I could have more than 1 cymbal. They were most excellent for a year then the crash cracked. Now the hi-hats are. But they still sound good.

Better than nothing?

By MamasLilSniper

They will do well as beginners, but ONLY beginners. They are cymbals that you can grow out of very fast. The cymbals are a little too thin and give the sound of metal trash can lids.(Or, you might get a better sound with the trash can lids, haha)

used for years

I have played for 10 years been in three bands and had tons of experiance. Now these are not the cymbals I perform with, but they are a great deal. I use them for practice. The ride may be small but gives out alot. The hi-hats are a bit dull but for the price this is the best deal around!

Good Cymbals

By ZildjianZeke33

These Cymbals are pretty good, I got them in a pack that came with a free 10 inch splash and there awesome. I play pretty hard and so far no dents or Cracks. The RideCrash sounds awesome with the ZBT 16 inch crash when played at the same time. Good Deal for some decent Cymbals.

Rock On

I don't know how anyone could think this pack is the best i been playing for 15 years and with a limited bugdet I choose this for my son so he could have more than two cymbals on his set. Last time i preformed with my band i took the crash off my son's drumset to use it since i think it is better than mine. Overall I think You should buy this set if you have a limited budget.

Sound Good But Crack Easy

By ExpyreDrummer

from Cottage Grove, MN

When I first bought these they sounded great right out of the box, but the crash/ride cracked within the first 3 months and eventually the hit-hats cracked. These are good starter cymbal but I would not recommend them if your a hard player. Even the ZBT 4 piece set lasted almost a year before any piece started to crack.
