The 18" ZBT Rock Crash is the first cymbal I ever bought. I bought it in September 2011 I was immediately blown away by its bright sound and the volume was massively above the cheap brass cymbals that I had been using up until that point, all for a relatively inexpensive price compared to B20 bronze cymbals. The cymbal has a really long decay, so that could be an issue for some, but not for me. With regular weekly/biweekly polishing it'll shine like new always. It worked great for what I play(a lot of heavy metal/hard rock) right up until it cracked 11 months later. I had hoped it would have lasted a little bit longer than it did, though this could partly be due to the difference in how these cymbals are made in comparison to the cast process used for the higher end cymbals. The 2-year warranty offered by Zildjian is great also. Do buy this, but beware that it may crack sooner than you will expect.

I own both the 16" and 18" ZBT Rock crashes. Their sound is close to the quality you would find in the more expensive cast cymbals, but for half the price. The downside to this is that they aren't durable at all. I've owned them for 6 months and the 18" now has a large 3" crack, and the 16" is beginning to do the same, producing at annoying sound when I hit it that sounds like something metal is being held against it. I admit that I am a fairly hard hitter and do play often, but this is quality I don't expect out of Zildjian. The only reason I am giving these slightly above-average ratings, is that the sound quality is not something I can complain about, espeically for the price.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Rock Crash:

Bought this cymbal in march, sounded great for the price, but less than a month later I had 2 cracks each about 7-8 inches long, save up and buy paiste alphas they arent too much more expensive and they sound better and last longer

          This cymbal is... Fair.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Rock Crash:

I git this cymbal and hoped it would be a little more... Crashy? I guess. It just sounds more like a really heavy ride. If you want something like more high pitched and loud, you should get a thin crash. I do reccomend Zildjian or Sabian cymbals though. Don't be afraid to spend a little extra for high dollar stuff. It is worth it... I kinda got off subject. This cymbal lasts a very long time and has a very deep tone. It just doesn't seem like a very high-quality crash cymbal to me. Overall: very deep rich sound. Just not my type.

I have had this cymbol for about 6 monthes now and it is absolutely awsome. It is very loud and can take a beating. My band had to get a whole new amp becouse the cymbol completely overpowered the vocals. It does mark easily but nothing a little polish wont get out. This cymbol is great!

          Pretty Awesome

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Rock Crash:

I absolutely love this cymbal! it has a great sound and is very loud. Also, riding on this cymbal sounds pretty great as well. However, it does have an annoying ring to it if you play it by itself for the first few months (the ring seemed to go away the more i played it), but who plays a crash by itself? I would recommend this to anyone looking for a powerful crash.

          What the ****! Titanium ZBT?!?

          By Anonymous

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Rock Crash:

Disgusted with breaking cymbals I decieded to go to a local music store in Independence to look for a Hi-Hat upgrade and a used crash cymbal. I get to the used cymbal section and there was a 16" Zildjian ZBT Titanium Rock Crash and a 10" Zildjian ZBT Titanium Fast Splash. I decided to buy both after I liked how they sounded. I know these cymbals aren't really made out of titanium, but I do know that it is much louder than my Sabian B8 16" thin crash I bought sometime within last year. I s%#t you not! This cymbal rings!! What is even more disturbing is that Zildjian doesn't have any more of these type of cymbals. Can someone tell me how rare the ZBT Titanium series are in comparison to the regular ZBT's? I've been drummin 2yrs straight now and idk how valuable these things are. I check musicians friend daily for good deals, so give a shout through a comment if you have an answer for me. thanks.

          Not the Best

          By calebdbrca

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Rock Crash:

I got the 16 inch rock crash. It was ok sounding. They look good I admit but the sound isnt the best. These are more of a budget cymbal. Also I have a normal 18 inch crash not a rack cras and the 16 inch rock crash is lower piched than the 18 inch normal crash. There good but if your looking for better sounding go for A custom or K custom cymbals. Look for quality, not Quantity.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Rock Crash:

Okay, I got the box set with the hi hats and the 16" crash, The 18" crash came with it. But i have to say , I love these cymbals. Theres no need to go out and buy these $200-300 A custom or K custom Zildjians. The only thing i hate is the 18" cymbal . it has no atack and no trash,It sounds like a gong. Other than the sucky 18",I love the 16" crash, Get the 16" version, You wont be disopointed .

I own this crash and yes its better then the ZBT crash. Why? Its thicker so you have a more bold sound and it really loud. If your considering this or the ZBT crash, get this, it is a great sound for a great price
