I have had these hi hats for a little more then a year and wow, it still sounds as good as the day I bought it. These hi hats are made for rock and wow, it cuts through the music very nice. It has a very nice chick which is better. They say its beginners which in reality its not, its just low-entry. These are the greatest I have had for the price and they are the only hi hats I use.

When I first started (7+ years ago) I didn't want to save and buy expensive cymbals, so I bought a pack of ZBT's. The ride is holding up, but everything else is rubbish. My hi hat (top) actually cracked in a spiral pattern after I started actually playing shows out. The 16" crash warped and went to crap. My ride is decent sounding but I still wouldn't reccomend it. If you really want cymbals that last though, go with cast cymbals. Its totally worth it. ZBT's are alright for a beginner, but nothing great.

These hi hats didn't sound very good. I had Sabian B8's before and they sounded much better. These ZBT's sound pretty cheap and I'm quite dissapointed. Buy B8's if you want good cheap hi hats.

I have had these hi-hats for about 3 years, and they still sound and look great. There is one crack, but it doesn't affect the sound too much, and it happened very recently. I would definitely recommend these.

my friend bought the 13's, and i had to borrow them to try 'em out...now im looking to get a pair myelf. being in a punk band, these hats were perfect for that thrashy, in your face sound, but when i played closed they still gave off a platinum zildjian chick. while they arent k customs, these are a great buy for anyone who's in a rock band and wants solid all-around sound ability from their hi-hats

These cymbals are amazing. Excellent "chick" sound, great heavy, but clear sound while being played closed, just great overall. All players, whether beginners or experts, should consider these cymbals.

I?ve had several Hi-Hat cyms over the years; Zildgian, Camber, and Sabian B8. Each with their own pro?s and cons. The Zildg?s are a darker timbre (rock), but you can perform excellent, rudiment sticking on them. The Cambers are a light, crisp timbre- great for Jazz. However, they are a bit mushy for extreme sticking maneuvers. The B8?s are in between. I tend to keep the Z?s mounted most often in order to practice my best Buddy Rich impression.

I compared these by sound not price. Good solid sound ranks up with the best. I think they sound as good as Hats twice there price. Good for rock music.

I'm mainly a guitarist, but have a kit in the practice room that I use for my own demos and band practice so the drummer doesn't need to keep a kit here. These were an upgrade from the cymbals that came with my Peavey kit. I'd recommend them.
