Comments about Electro-Voice N/D367s Dynamic Cardioid Vocal Microphone:

I bought one of these in 2000. Loved the warmth it added to my voice. I don't like the Shure microphones because they have a bright, crisp flavor to them. This microphone is a perfect blend for my voice. It is warm, clear, plenty of volume.
I've used this for live performances, recording vocals and instruments and it never ceases to amaze me.
Last year I was heart broken when the mic casing disentagrated after 13 years of abuse. I've taken this everywhere, throwing it in the backpack or suitcase with everything else. I've replaced it with a Shure sm58; not feeling the warmth with this, then an AUDIX OM2; which has the warmer sound I prefer but, doesn't seem to have as much volume as the EV.
My next purchase is a high end EV mic.

    Good Mic

    By

Comments about Electro-Voice N/D367s Dynamic Cardioid Vocal Microphone:

Robust construction. I've dropped & banged both of mine and had no problems with performance.
This is an underrated microphone. I find it has a warmer sound for vocals than B58s, less harsh than a 57 & cleaner than 58s. For my use it also seems to beat the 767, but that is a very subjective opinion. As has been said; its especially good for fem vocals. It also works fairly well as a drum mic, off axis a bit and 6" away. My only beef is with the cover cone that envelopes the mic. It tends to get in the way of the cable lock and must be connected with care to insure a solid connection. The switch, I suppose, is OK, but I never use it. Well worth an A/B test if opportunity arises and a great buy if on sale.
Solid mic, but cover looseness is occasionaly annoying.
Actually a good value for the money, but it needs to come in UNDER 58s to become as popular as it should be.

    In search of..

Comments about Electro-Voice N/D367s Dynamic Cardioid Vocal Microphone:

Rehearsed last week and plugged into our Mackie 808 S, with a small monitor, and a 10" Yamaha acting as a main to get reverb. We dove into a variety of songs which my voice seemed to be clearer, punchier, and warm. Not to mention louder, without breaking up. I have used this at home on a Soundcraft and thought it sounded great. The Mackie which really shone with this mic. I am ordering another Electro Voice without a switch to add to my microphones. I also use Sennheiser 935, Shure Beta 58, Heil, Audix, AKG to name a few. I will use this mic for live purposes, Male or Female voice. You won't be disappointed.
Solid, switch added bonus for the price.
Excellent quality overall, gave it a 9 for the switch being harder to manipulate. That could be a good thing if you handle the mic a lot.
For the price an performance, it is an excellent value which I have paid more for and disappointed. Not this time. Excellent mic.

Great voice microphone - fights feedback

Comments about Electro-Voice N/D367s Dynamic Cardioid Vocal Microphone:

I bought six of these 2 years ago - wow! Both male and female voices just plain sound better through these microphones. In an live radio show in a medium concert hall last year, these sounded clearly *better* than Rode, AKG, and other top condenser microphones (said our professional sound engineer and our producer).I still carry other microphones in my equipment bags, but I never *use* them.Better frequency response than your expensive stereo - highly recommended!

    kickin mic

Comments about Electro-Voice N/D367s Dynamic Cardioid Vocal Microphone:

My wife and I perform regularly. She used to use Shures and the like, until we came across this mic. This is THE mic for female vocalists! When we tried it out at the store, we compared it with a SM58, and compared to this the 58 sounded dull and lifeless. She brings it to every show and it always sounds amazing. We haven't had any problems with it (nor my ND 767 for that matter). Check it out.
