I have had this mic for just shy of two weeks now and I have recorded a 350 watt stack, Djembie, Acoustic trios, bass cabs, and vocals. This mic is very versatile and sounds much better than it's price point. I have had 57s and I say this has as low, if not lower handling noise. I will be getting a few more of these, even if they last a year (feels like it'll last longer though) they pay for themselves compared to more expensive utility mics.

If you only see yourself having about $20 for your equipment budget in the next six months buy one of these, maybe two if you can pinch your pennies. If you want a microphone, save your money and buy something legit. These are nothing but trouble. They break incredibly easy, and make every sound, and every note, you speak or sing into them an utter torture upon the ears. Honestly it is hard to imagine a bigger waste of money than this microphone. I was 13 or 14 when I was ignorant enough to think I was actually getting a deal buying these, and looking back now I have nothing but shame for my choices. Avoid this mic at all costs.

Comments about Nady SP-33 Dynamic Microphone:

I've got 3 of these in my mic collection and even though they were the least expensive I use them the most at our gigs since they sound great and have a easy to hold shape and good feel. They are also rugged and reliable. I also use them for recording in my home studio as they work real well on both guitar amps and percussion. Overall a real good value.

      SP-33 is low quality

      By Kyle

      from Indiana

Comments about Nady SP-33 Dynamic Microphone:

This is a good mic if you are on a shoe string budget. It works. This mic only works straight on so make sure you dont intend on using it like a cardioid mic. The mic hiss is very noisy in low-volume settings. Bottom line; it's cheap, will get you mic'd up on a budget, and will sound terrible if you care about quality.

Spend a little more and just get the Peavey...

      By Me-k7aSn

Comments about Nady SP-33 Dynamic Microphone:

I used this at a band practice once, because I forgot my Peavey PVi2... bad mistake. It feels cheap because it is, and you'll hear it. My voice sounded like... mud. Unless you're super strapped for cash, I advise against buying this mic. Even then, saving up that extra 20-30 dollars will buy you something much more durable.

      As a karaoke mic

      By Anonymous

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Nady SP-33 Dynamic Microphone:

Worked well and has a good full range sound. This mic has a small diameter and comes with a very small mic clip , will not fit standerd clip. It is quite difficult to get in and out of the clip. Perhaps a spring clip would be better for this one. Also if you buy the cheap-o $10.00 mic cord you should be handy with a solering iron.

      Just a good work mic

      By J. Slick-bSRc2

      from Rhode Island

Comments about Nady SP-33 Dynamic Microphone:

I'm a pro-singer... long time, full-timer and have been using these mics for years. I've used a lot of good mics in my 40+ years on stage and think this is the best mic for the money (which they had these back in the '70s). The only drawback (for me) is no on-off switch... but I work around that. Mic is responsive and durable. Now if I could just find reliable cables I'd be all set!Peace & harmony,Slick

      Thanks Nady!

Comments about Nady SP-33 Dynamic Microphone:

I puchased two of these after trying the SP1,and not being very satisfied then reserching the freq specs on Nady and other mics. in this price range (few-Behringer) I found their decription to be very accurate for this mic and the difference in sound quality from the SP1 is worth the couple of bucks more. No on/off switch but hey-Just clear, clean, non colored sound, with good proximity low end effect never seems to go into the mud!
