Review

By Cal-PKs5A

from El Paso, TX

Comments about Pintech Dual-Zone Chokeable Zenbal E-Cymbal:

This product has been a dissapointment. They lasted about six months prior to a gradual deterioration in performance. The triggering became inconsistent, with one of the cymbals becoming nearly inaudible. A company rep advised that I should "clean the edge (underside) of the cymbal, then apply a bead of silicone to insure good conact". Really? I wasn't applying for a tech position, I just wanted the product to perform as advertised. I was then advised if I wanted a replacement set, I would have to purchase another set. That is why I will (gradually) upgrade my kit to Roland components.

Don't waste your money

Comments about Pintech Dual-Zone Chokeable Zenbal E-Cymbal:

I got a set of these with my Pintech Tour Elite drum set. I really like my Pintech set EXCEPT for these cymbals - they are pretty useless. The triggering is horribly inconsistent. I've had to mark a little "x" on each cymbal so every time I strike the cymbal I have to hit right on the "x" or else I may get a very weak trigger or no trigger at all. Even when I hit the "x" sometimes it still doesn't trigger right. I'm going to buy the Roland ones which are much more expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for in the end.

Falling apart

Comments about Pintech Dual-Zone Chokeable Zenbal E-Cymbal:

I have a set of these and they are falling apart after only 3 months of use. I wouldn't purchase a Pintech product ever again!

Zenbal doesn't perform as well as expected

By Drum4Levy

from Hokes Bluff, AL

Comments about Pintech Dual-Zone Chokeable Zenbal E-Cymbal:

I had hoped that the Zenbal would be close to the quality of the Roland cymbals. However, the playing surface is very limited and you have to strike the rim just right to get response.

Spend a little more for Roland

By Bobby-5zF7m

from California

Comments about Pintech Dual-Zone Chokeable Zenbal E-Cymbal:

I bought two of these last year and both of them are trashed. The biggest problem was when the input box (where you plug the cord into) kept breaking off the cymbal. It happened to one and I though maybe it was a fluke, but then the same problem happened to the other. Pintech needs to work the bugs out on these.
