Hard to buy something this expensive without touching it first.  When I got it I was pleasantly surprised.  The tiger striped wood on the neck was unbelievable.  The overall neck quality was superb.  With a little setup, this thing was ready to go.  Replaced the bridge with a Snuffy Smith and he really smokes now.  I was leary about buying it without trying it first, but this ones a keeper. Peace and God bless, Tony Bach

I've been playing my Golden Deluxe since 1993, and it remains far and away the best banjo I've ever played. The tone is clear and vibrant, and the fit and finish on this instrument are just amazing. Oh, and it's LOUD.

This banjo cracks.  I played several new banjos at the Gibson showcase in Nashville and this one had the best sound.  Probably the closest you can get to a pre-war Mastertone without spending $35,000.00.
