Comments about Hohner 532 Blues Harp MS-Series Harmonica:
the blues harp is made in germany and has excellent quality and tone.the new MS series is a nice feature to order parts if need in stead of buying a whole new instrument.the cover plates are just slightly larger than the marine band.a bit easier on the lips.

Comments about Hohner 532 Blues Harp MS-Series Harmonica:
I recently started playing Harp buying a 5 pack of these with the case.
I also purchased a bunch of
- Marine band (Natural Minor)
- Lee Oscar (s) (Diatonic and Natural Minor)
- one Souls' voice (looks and sound like a Lee Oscar)
- one Seydel Blues Solist Pro. Best comfort, purest sound, poor bender.
Did not try Hering 1923 Vintage Harp yet, but soon.
Even though all non-Hohner have a purer sound and are more comfortable to play especialy the Seydel, the Hohners Blues Harp Ms and Marine Bands have a harsher sound, more squeeling, but still quite warm, which is more appropriate for rock and blues.
It seems it is built to reflect more waves back into the comb which creates this specific sound coloration.
Also the Blues Harp MS bends much efficiently then all others I own. Note my Manine Bands are Natural Minor, so I cannot evaluate bending on that one.
The Hohner diatonics are a bit hard on the mouth at first, but we get use to this quickly.
Also I enjoy the sound of wood combs much more then platic ones, even though I know the plastic combs will last longer. Plastic sounds too clean and does not add as much harmonics as these wood combs. Note that I don't play with the same harmonica for hours, so the comb doesn't swell as much as it does for busy blues players.
Forget about changing the reeds. The MS series is easier to open and reassemble, but the reeds are hard to find and expensive.
Anyway I mainly accompany myself with the harmonica while playing acoustic guitar, and when I'm big enough, I will play blues with it.
I thought as a good bass player and a decent guitar player that harmonica would be the easiest thing in the world. Sheesh! I now stand corrected. But it's a lot of fun to learn such a vibrant instrument.
I'm now completing my 12 keys collection of Hohner Blues Harp MS.

Santa surprised my son with the harmonica he had chosen on your website months ago. He is in a band in college and wanted to jazz up their sound.
Everyone is happy !
Comments about Hohner 532 Blues Harp MS-Series Harmonica:
Overall, I am impressed and I want more Bluesharp's in different keys.
Really good sound, easy to play. I just bought another in a different key.
For the money, it is super.
This has top value to me.
Comments about Hohner 532 Blues Harp MS-Series Harmonica:
I was very happy with this purchase. The particular brand of harmonica I purchased has been a favorite of mine for quite some time. Extremely affordable, the wood-combed blues harp allows for moderately fast, but very warm playing that takes to bending and overblowing quite well. More than the product though, I was impressed by the service. Originally this product did not arrive on time, as they had instead mistakenly sent me a completely different model and key of harmonica when I had a gig that next day I needed it for. Distressed and a little peeved, I called them up and was impressed at how courteously and quickly they resolved the issue by next-day shipping the correct product just in time for the show. The original mistake accounts for the less than perfect rating, but I am happy to know that I can be a valued customer from time to time and that they have the availability to rectify situations quickly and accurately.
Comments about Hohner 532 Blues Harp MS-Series Harmonica:
I'd call myself an advanced beginner when it comes to harmonica playing. I only have a few harps but I always thought that Hohner Special 20s were and always would be my favorite. That might not be the case anymore. I haven't played it much yet but I am really digging this Blues Harp. The edges are very smooth and it feels great in your hands. The wood comb is something I never liked about Marine Bands, but this one seems much smoother and looks gorgeous. I also love the wide open back design for volume and the way that "HOHNER" is stamped on the back of the comb. It really looks sharp! The reeds are very responsive and easy to bend, but it is in the key of D which is the highest harp I own, so it is hard for me to judge. The fact that it is part of Hohner's MS or "Modular System" family is also pretty cool. That means they are super easy to take apart and replace with new parts should the need arise. I think I love this thing..
It seems like all Hohners cost too much nowadays. What can ya do...
Comments about Hohner 532 Blues Harp MS-Series Harmonica:
I love these harps. I've been a serious player for years now, and I've tried all the popular brands. It may be sacrilege, but for my money I like the Blues Harp better than the Special 20. The wood comb adds a warmer tone, and overall makes the harp more rugged. The plastic comb on the Special 20 doesn't absorb moisture like the wood comb, which can sometimes contribute to blown reeds.Forget what they say about this being a "blues" harmonica. I play in a rock and roll band, and Blues Harps are all I play.
Comments about Hohner 532 Blues Harp MS-Series Harmonica:
This is an awesome sounding harmonica. If you want you want a harmonica where you can dig in and really cry the blues, play single notes or use it for general purpose as I do then this is the harp for you. It has a really deep, warm, rich and mellow sound, which I really like. The tone is actually mellower than the Marine Band (which I also own). It really allows for deep musical expression. The tone and timbre of this instrument are very impressive. It?s also very comfortable on the lips. It?s easier to maneuver around on than Lee Oskar harmonicas. (I play guitar so I need a harp that I can get around on quickly). Additionally, it?s well constructed and very air tight. For me the Blues Harp really defines the way a harmonica should sound. Really awesome harp, you can take it apart too if you need to. My only problem is that it tends to slide around in my neck rack when I am playing but since this thing sounds so good that can be overlooked.
