Comments about Luna Guitars Tattoo Pineapple Soprano Ukulele:
This Luna Guitars Tatoo Pineapple Soprano Ukulele was a replacement for another brand/model which I found unsatisfactory (Mahalo U-200). The additional expense was well worth it. I have no complaints whatsoever about this uke. Its pineapple body is easy to hold, it has nice tone, easy action, good intonation/stays in tune, and its looks are just fun! As a long-time guitarist entering the uke world, I highly recommend this reasonably-price uke without hesitation, as a good value for the price.

As a guitar player and I wanted something to fill in and highlight other instruments. Since tunning is different than guitar tunning --chords etc. I just grabbed a free chord chart online and was playing right along with guitar, bass, drums etc. It proudly sits in my recording studio right now. Suprising sound for such an inexpensive instrument, quite attractive as well.

This is a great uke for the price
This Tatto Pineapple Soprano Ukulele is a great Uke for the price. I have several high end Uke and I teach and I was afraid that I would accidentally damage one, so I bought this one for teaching. It's a lot of fun to play and has a decent sound and very good intonation. I had to send the 1st one back becuase the action was too low and it was buzzing, this one is perfect though no problems.

This is my first ukulele, and I love it! I would have given it a 10 if there wasn't a very small ding on the ukulele. The sound is warm and great. Not sure if the C and E strings sit a bit higher than the G and A strings- unless it's bc i dont know how to strum properly? Overall- fantastic! Highly recommended
Comments about Luna Guitars Tattoo Pineapple Soprano Ukulele:
I wanted a ukulele and read through all the reviews on Musician's Friend and this particular model, the Luna Tattoo Pineapple, seemed to have the best balance of good reviews along with the features I wanted (soprano, pineapple body, not totally plain Jane) in the price range I was interested in.
It's a good sounding instrument, it sounds to me like I think a ukulele should and plays nicely. I have no trouble chording comfortably on the neck. The mahogany body has a nice grain pattern and I like the laser engraved "tattoo" finish and "shark tooth" (triangle) inlays. It's easy to hold and so light you'll find yourself walking around with it cradled under your arm without even thinking about it.
I'm not an expert on ukuleles by any means, but I'm definitely satisfied with this purchase. I've picked up several songs already and my kids love it. The fact that it's quieter than even my acoustic guitar makes it good for sing-alongs with the kiddos as it doesn't overpower them.
The Luna Tattoo Pineapple is my first ukulele, but this model has all of the features that I would expect from one. I like the sound of the mahogany body and the geared tuners, which have nice pearloid buttons, hold tune well so far. Inlay work is nicely done and the laser engraving is cool. Comes with a nice gig bag (wife thought it was very cute) a pitch pipe and a chart with a few chords. Everything you need to get started, which is thoughtful in my opinion.
Overall, construction is very good. The body is well made and finished and the intonation is mostly accurate according to my clip on tuner. Near the high end of the neck, some of the frets don't ring out quite as well as others, but I haven't found any true "dead" spots.
The only construction flaws I noticed were a tiny bit of glue seepage on the E side of the neck joint, one fret slot that's cut deeper than the fret itself, and the dress job on the fret ends is a little rough, but for the price point, I think the construction is pretty good.
As I've noted, I'm not extremely knowledgeable about ukes, but feel like this is a "good buy" at the price I paid.
Comments about Luna Guitars Tattoo Pineapple Soprano Ukulele:
this is a good ululele for a beginner like myself . it is a bit difficult to hold unless you are a seasoned pro on these things
it has a couple cool features like the tattoo design . I also like the shape ( pineapple)
it seems to be built ok as my 6 yr old dropped it on the floor first thing and it held up well . I looked through the sound hole and saw some pressboard for some of the bracing ...not a big deal being that it is just a little uke but over all quality is good for a lower end soprano
I like this uke but I would like to have paid a little less for it since it is the smallest of the sizes
Comments about Luna Guitars Tattoo Pineapple Soprano Ukulele:
This Luna Pineapple Uke is a real honey! Especially for the way I play it. I don't play the ukulele in the usual way. I replace the strings with the Aquila "Soprano Low G Bionylon" string set. That way I end up with a low G on the fourth string instead of a high G. This gives me real bass range. I don't strum my ukes. I finger pick them with a plastic thumb pick and metal finger picks. And I tune down the first string from A to a G. This gives me an open C tuning where I can explore many types of tunes without busting my fingers. On this little uke I play everything from Deep River Blues to classical pieces like Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, (Bach). Intonation is excellent on all four strings all the way up the neck. Harmonics are right on the nose. String action is perfect, and it stays in tune very well. The tone is gorgeous for something with this small a body. If you are looking for the equivalent of a little piano you can hold in your lap as you finger pick your heart out, this is the instrument. I give this uke 5 BIG STARS!

Attractive laser tatoo on the top, easy to hold, free gig bag, excellent tuners.
Carefully made. No scratches, no dings, good finish, great sound, great intonation on all frets.
Terrific value for the money. Terrific value, money aside.

This is a beautiful quality instrument for the price. I wasn't sure about buying it because I had never heard of Luna before, but I am glad I bought it. I also purchased a Lanakai. The Luna stays in tune longer and the strings are closer to the fret, it is definitely my favorite.
Love the design on the ukulele.
The tuners hold well and the strings are close to the fret, making it easier to play for someone who has never played a stringed instrument.
Excellent price for the quality of instrument.
Comments about Luna Guitars Tattoo Pineapple Soprano Ukulele:
O.K. then..I like the fact that the strings were quality and the tuning is keeping well. I like the fretting and the whole feel, though I am a beginner and haven't had previous uke experience, I do own and used to play a guitar and know what strings should play like and how the sound should sound. It comes with a nice gig bag, nicer than I would have thought for the price - padded and a quality fabric, not plastic. Nice little pitch pipe and lame little booklet, but hey, you are gonna buy a method book anyway if you want to learn.
Nice instrument. This is my first ukulele. Years ago I played a guitar, a good one. I wanted good sound in a ukulele at a good entry price. The Luna line is beautiful, and I was happily surprised at the lovely etchings in this pineapple style uke. After a week or so and a couple tunings, it really is holding the tuning nicely. I do check tuning every day when I practice. The wood is much nicer than the picture. It has a more warm deep tone then the photos which all look like it is a yellowy color and it is not. The box is a hoot, being pretty corny, but the uke is a fun instrument, so I am not complaining! Sound is rich, though not the loudest thing out there, it does make itself known. I have to say that among my uke owning friends, this one is the prettiest. I think the strings it comes with are actually pretty nice, though I bought a set of D'Addario in case. Might not need them for a long time. I'd buy this again for sure - what a bargain in fun and good music a ukulele is, and at the price this one sells for, don't even hesitate!
I said it all already....great quality and factoring in the price...well....terrific.
Buy it...buy it now! Not a minute to lose...so much fun....
Comments about Luna Guitars Tattoo Pineapple Soprano Ukulele:
This was my first Ukulele, But i've done my research. Before buying a ukulele, I tried to stay away from ukes where people have had problems with tuning. I was skeptical about this one since it didn't have too many reviews. I bought it, I had to tune it about twice and now it stays. It plays fantastic and every fret makes an adequate sound(another problem with some ukes).Fantastic Product
