A unique, high-quality instrument that is affordable for both the casual and accomplished musician.

Hold down the chop with this distinctive F-Style mandolin with a Trinity rosette soundhole. Its solid spruce top sounds sweet from the first pluck, but will change and grow in quality and depth over the many years you own it. The punchiness of the solid maple body contributes to the initial tone. Finished in tobacco burst with a matte finish, which looks perfect with the faux-tortoise binding.

This instrument features a rosewood fingerboard with Luna's mother-of-pearl moon phase markers and is crowned by Luna's mother-of-pearl logo on the headstock.

Comments about Luna Guitars Trinity F-Style Mandolin:

People should understand you get what you pay for. Do not try and drive a 49 willis jeep in rushour traffic in atlanta and wonder why it don't perform like a 2011 jeep. The trinity f style mandolin is not a bad instrument and will do just nicely at most venues. I have played one and I feel it is just right for the price, good selling.

Comments about Luna Guitars Trinity F-Style Mandolin:

Considered purchasing this mandolin so was glad to see try it out in a local music store. I assume that the setup and strings were the same on both instruments since they were the both new from the factory and in the same shop.At first glance the F has an interesting look. Though not as sexy as it looks on the web. It has a matte finish, faux tortoise binding and tobacco burst finish. The problam I had with it was the black portion of the tobacco burst in a matte finish looked to me like it had been finished using flat black spray paint. So it came off looking cheap. Playabilty was ok but no better than a pac rim with simular materials. It actualy sounded a bit dead as opposed to the ring you'd expect from a solid top. I have played $225 laminate F styles which sounded better.(and they sounded bad)The A style was in a spruce burst and matte finish with same specs as above. The matte look worked for the A style. It's sound was far superior to the F, it had a crisp ring to it that would stand up to any mandolin in the price range which I have played. I.E. Fender, Ibanez, Epiphone, etc.I would you want to pay a few extra bucks (over comparable mandolins) for the celtic look, such as with a Celtic band or just want a unique looking instrument the A style is a good buy for under $300. If you are considering the F I would recommend donating your money to a good charity or just taking it out into the street and setting it on fire.
