I am an experienced guitar player and bought this because the price was right and I wanted to learn to play the ukulele. I am totally satisfied. It is a very nice looking and sounding uke that I think is perfect for a beginner or as a uke to take camping or places where you wouldn't want to take an expensive instrument. Even came with a nice gig bag. It does have friction tuners and you need to tighten the friction screws so that it stays in tune. Also the strings it came with are cheap ones that stretch. For the first couple days I had to tune it often but after that it stays in tune very well. Definitely not a professional grade uke but I am having lots of fun with it.

This uke is useful not only for beginners, but also for a more accomplished musician who wants an instrument to cart about with him that he need not worry too much about damaging.
The uke-style tuners are a bit flaky. Tightening the screws helped considerably.
Generally poor finish. I have a Rogue mandolin and baritone uke in addition to the suprano, and the finish on the suprano is certainly the worst of the lot. There are rough spots, and chipped finish coat is several spots. However, the instrument is eminently playable and from a musical point of view, of fair quality
Despite the characteristics outlined above, because of its low price it represents excellent value.

This is my first ukelele & I'm loving it. It wouldn't hold tuning right out of the box, but after tightening the tuning keys, it's been great. Sounds good.

this ukulele is impossible to tune, when get it in perfect tune, it just slips back to where it was before. The wood is not very nice, it's worth it to spend a little more money to get a uke that actually works. Avoid this !

        Great ukulele for the price

        Comments about Hawaiian Soprano Ukulele:

This was a perfect starter for my 6 year old daughter who has been wanting to learn guitar. Her hands fit the uke easily and can carry it around without damaging it due to the size. Couldn't tune it out of the box, had to tighten the tuning pegs with a screw driver to make it hold the tension. Great little uke for the price!

Other than a very small chip in the neck, very quality transaction with Musician's Friend.

Comments about Rogue Hawaiian Soprano Ukulele:

I bought this as a gift for my daughter, as a first instrument. I didn't want a toy, but didn't want to spend too much, just in case her desire to play was just a whim. I think this Ukulele is a good value: it has a nice sound and nice natural finish. My only concern at this point is how well it will hold it's tune. I have tuned it a few times already and it tends to slip. Sometimes the initial stretching of the strings subsides and may hold better after several attempts.

Product uses plastic strings, can not be tuned, and cords do not stay in place. As it was a gift and did not realize this until the person receiving the gift told me. Could not return due to limited return policy. would not purchase this product or from musician friends again.

I wanted to learn a string instrument and I figured the Uke would be good for starting. This Uke is great value as far as I can tell! Download an app and tune it up and your ready to jam the spongebob song!

The product as a whole is great you might want to tighten the tuning pegs because they are a little loose and will lose tune if there not tightened but other than that the Uke is amazing.

This was going to be my first ukelele but it's tuners were loose and I can't fix them. I don't plan on spending more money on this and I'm really disappointed. I wish it was better. It sounds bad and none of my ukelele friends can fix it.
