Comments about Suzuki SC-128 Tremolo Chromatic Harmonica:
this harmonica is seriously As Beautiful as they come. Take it out of the beautiful high-quality leather holster, and just look at it and hold it for half an hour before You even dare put it in your mouth, and just be amazed.... Feels and Looks absolutley Stunning, it's nice; big and chunky, yet very beautiful and elegant, it feels very natural and plays very easy. The design is a marvel of modern technical engineering. Not only is it a great achievement to fit 128 reeds into One harmonica, but have a look (with a magnifying glass!) at the comb and be impressed. The ABS-Plastic comb is designed in a very clever way to minimize the use of air, which makes this harmonica Very responsive and surprisingly easy to play, just like any other chromatic harmonica. And the sound? well what can I say, I myself Love nothing better than a warm and "wet" tremolo sound, and this Suzuki does Not disappoint, the sound is simply B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L.
I myself have been playing Hohner Echo Harps for many years, I really think these harmonicas are still the World-Standard for a great tremolo-harmonica sound, but for the sound, this Suzuki is certainly without a doubt totally Up there with the Best.
If You want to play in tremolo-sound and You're after the Best of the Best, this is Your harmonica!!!
The ONLY tremolo-Tuned Chromatic harmonica in the world, 128 reeds, beautifullly finished, Gold-plated mouthpiece, chrome-plated cover-plates, the reed-plates are very substantial at 1.3 millimetres thick, phosphor-bronze reeds.
It's not an easy task to make a harmonica like this, and that is showing a little bit; very fiddly to take apart and re-assemble, some microscopic small parts (the rubber rings around the mouthpiece screws) so be careful, and the screws for the cover-plates are not easy and very fiddly when putting it back together.
Good quality comes at a price, and You will pay for this harmonica, as simple as that. It is a very exclusive instrument and You will not find anything like it anywhere else, so there is no way of comparing it to any other. Expensive, but worth it in my opinion.
