Well-known resonator guitar innovator Tim Scheerhorn has collaborated with Wechter to produce several unique Scheerhorn models. The Wechter 6530-FAE Square Neck Resonator Guitar features several Scheerhorn touches including hard maple saddles with proprietary Scheerhorn model black caps, Scheerhorn internal resonator baffle, and a cone specified by Tim Scheerhorn. The 6530-FAE also features a spruce top and rosewood back and sides, rosewood fingerboard with flush maple fret markers and dot inlays, and die-cast chrome tuners. The 6530-FAE guitar also comes equipped with the Schertler Basic pickup. The square neck resonator style guitar was made to be played as a lap instrument typically used in bluegrass music. The 6530-FAE also comes equipped with GHS TS1600 Tim Scheerhorn Cryogenic phosphor bronze Resonator strings.
