The first Lace Sensor pickups were created in 1985, and that was only the beginning of a success story that's still going strong today. Fender had exclusive rights to them until the late '90s, and while there are still plenty of Lace guitar pickups designed for Fender instruments, they've definitely seen a lot of growth in the past two decades. Today you can get Lace pickups for all kinds of different guitars, all with the same key design features that made Lace Sensors so popular in the first place: namely, shielded coils to reduce noise and interference, and as a result, lower string pull that pushes accuracy, intonation and sustain up to a whole new level.
In fact, you might be surprised how clean a single-coil Lace pickup like the Lace Sensor Gold Pickup can sound - almost like a humbucker. Speaking of which, there are plenty of those in this section as well, in case you want absolute hum reduction with lots of power plus the trademark sustain Lace is known for. The Lace Finger Burner Humbucker Guitar Pickup Set is one eye-catching example, and as easy as these are on the eyes, that's nothing compared to how they impress the ears. But maybe you want a pickup that's like nothing else on the market? In that case, the Alumitone series could be the way to go, with models such as the Lace Alumitone Humbucker Electric Guitar Pickup and the Lace Alumitone Griller Humbucker Guitar Pickup taking a radical new approach to pickup design with some incredible results.
Of course, these are just a few examples of a lineup that's also filled with pre-wired pickguards, acoustic guitar pickups and more. So no matter how you like to play or how you want your guitar configured, it's safe to say there are at least a few Lace guitar pickups worth considering. Whether you're refurbishing a vintage axe, upgrading a new addition or even building your own signature guitar from scratch, this section is more than qualified to be ground-zero in your search for the ultimate pickups.
