OVERVIEW

The entry-level guitar. Redefined.

The Alvarez Regent Series is a high-quality, entry-level guitar line designed to provide superior instruments with many features and specifications you'll find in pro-level Alvarez models. Components such as the bi-level rosewood bridge, scalloped bracing and PPS synthetic bone nut and saddle, work together to get the best tone and response possible.

Regent Series has also been designed with the student in mind and has a slightly slimmer neck profile and nut, making it very easy to hold and fret.

This guitar has a roadworthy, vintage vibe with a satin finish. This is a great looking guitar and for its size has a very open and warm voice. It is fitted with the Alvarez SYS250 from B-Band, a 3-band EQ with onboard digital backlit tuner.

Comments about Alvarez RP266SESB Parlor Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

i did know a little about the guitar, but their were no reviews here to rely on so let this be the first first couldnt go wrong it was the " stupid deal of the day" that was a no brainer needed a acoustic electric for practice and it has a equalizer and an tuner built in its got it all i sent it to my guitar guy 3 minutes checked tuned and played right away im of course not a fan of gold phosphorous so thoe will be changed out for a less rough string and im going lighter for playability. out the box it hada growl i like from the minute i heard it the blues live em love um o stay on the porch

Pretty good for the price paid

Comments about Alvarez RP266SESB Parlor Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Got this SDOTD. For that price, I would say it was worth it. For anything more, perhaps not. I had been looking for a parlor guitar for a while to play quietly at night when others are sleeping. This fits the bill well. It has pretty decent tone and playability. In my experience, I do believe Alvarez has pretty spotty quality control. Their guitars are all over the map--even within the same model. If you get lucky you could get one. If not, they could be about as bad as possible.

Comments about Alvarez RP266SESB Parlor Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

It works okay at home or on the fly, not bad for gigs, I can throw it in the back of the van and not worry about it. I put new strings on it and it was ready to go, very little tweaking.

Comments about Alvarez RP266SESB Parlor Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I own Taylor guitars, but I wasn't crazy about the Baby Taylor when looking for a simple, smaller, inexpensive practice guitar. I have short fingers/small hands and was looking for a guitar that I could learn tunes on a bit faster. I took chance on this Alvarez parlor guitar, and I am so delighted and amazed with it, that I cannot put it down! I absolutely love this guitar! It's very easy to play and sounds great with D'Addario or Elixer Nonoweb strings. The sound projection is surprisingly excellent for a parlor guitar and the tone is similar to the higher end Martin Dreadnoughts. I couldn't be happier with this guitar and the quality is a real wow factor for it's price range. I haven't yet found anything wrong with this guitar!
