Classic design elements that include steamy hot P-90 pickups.
The Axl Badwater MJZ has a solid alder body and a rock maple neck, the Badwater MJZ starts with a tried-and-true foundation. Add to that two overwound alnico P-90 pickups that provide plenty of snap, crunch, and bite. The tortoise pickguard and bound headstock give the MJZ an unmistakable vintage vibe. Add other classic design features like a tremolo bridge, rosewood fretboard, and 25-1/2" scale length, and the MJZ delivers the look and tone players want at a price you can't resist. Case sold separately.

Comments about Axl Badwater MJZ Electric Guitar:
The Badwater MJZ Electric Guitar bears a strong resemblence to the Jazzmaster with a few differences that are actually an improvement. The finish is a see-through walnut stain with antiqued copper hardware, a very nice touch and very rich looking. The EMG pickups were a nice surprise and have tons of tone and output. I played it through a small, cheap practice amp and it sounds FANTASTIC, ideal for studio as well as stage. My only complaint is the neck pickup is not "reverse" polarity, which would allow the two together to eliminate the hum you have to expect of single coil pickups. I can actually "fix" this, but it would have been nice if it was built that way. Nevertheless, this is a worthy competitor to the "Pawnshop" line Fender has released and is an excellent guitar in it's own right.
