This guitar is great for shredding legato licks, rockish chords, and even slow clean jazz melodies. It has a thin neck that is rounded slightly, but, unlike Ibanez necks, isnt flat. This guitar is great for playing fast heavy modern style metal and good old classic british rock. The pickups are very high output and have good low and high frequency, although the fact that they are P-90's (single coils) and they are so high output, they do have alot of feedback, but with a noise gate thats not a problem at all. This guitar is really light too, bot like a les paul, and it is easy to sit down and stand up and play with...it just takes some getting used to but after two or three days it has a very comfortable feel. Overall I think taht this is an awsome guitar and it is deffitnally worth the price. I would only change three things on it though. I wihs the pickups werent as noisey. I wish that it had two volume pots because I prefer that. And when I got my guitar there were some small bumps on the neck but I fixed that with some sandpaper, and also there is amark on the back of the headstock like something scuffed it but that dosent affect any tonal qualities at all, but thats the reason that I only gave it a 3.5 in quality. But this is an awsome guitar for any type of music.

I've had this guitar for a fair while now and I must say that it has been quite problematic. If you're into lo-fi quality, then this is the guitar for you. The pickups suck majorly (they are misleadingly labelled as 'EMG's) and they pale in comparison to Seymour Duncan's or Dimarzio's. I have played in heaps of bands over the years and I have been let down live by this thing more than once. Also, In the recording studio this guitar is very inconsistent- going out of tune countless times. The neck is also painstakingly slow. If you like playing Satriani or Vai then DO NOT GET THIS GUITAR! Furthermore, it is extremely annoying that this guitar has no tremolo system- a nice Floyd Rose would have been great. A locking nut also would have been fantastic.. To sum up: anyone who is into Metal- be it classic metal or any of the modern genres, you will be much better served with a Jackson or an Ibanez even if it is one of the cheaper models.

Comments about Axl Mayhem Jacknife Electric Guitar:

Ive owned this guitar for over a year now. Its been my primary guitar for that period. I like it a lot but the P90s are way way way to noisy. My band mates always complain about it screaching or screaming when Im not playing but other then that this is a fairly well guitar. It plays nice the neck is real easy to play and the whole guitar is very comfortable to play. I run my Axl Jacknife through a Electro Harmonix Metal Muff, Dunlop CFH, a Boss ME 70 through a Axl Rapture 150 Amp.

Not Too Amazing

Comments about Axl Mayhem Jacknife Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar after seeing, and hearing a demo of it played. When I got it however, I realized the pickups are horrible, and it's almost impossible to tune. It's easy to move hands up and down frets, but other than that and the fact that it's pretty, I would not recommend buying this guitar.

Comments about Axl Mayhem Jacknife Electric Guitar:

I love this guitar. . I thought it would suck since it was so cheap, but turns out I was wrong. It's pretty sweet. Only thing that is kind of weak is that yes, you have to stand while playing it, but thats to be expected. Great guitar, surprised it doesn't go for more.

Pretty metal

By dragonXforce925

Comments about Axl Mayhem Jacknife Electric Guitar:

I'm into metal. None of that poser stuff. real honest metal. This guitar has that sound, it plays awesome. Just like any guitar, I had to play around with all the tuners and pickups, but once I got it all where I wanted it to be, this guitar was amazing from then on. I own this one, and the clutch, and I love both of them. They have amazing guitars for such a small name.

Never going to buy from them again.

Comments about Axl Mayhem Jacknife Electric Guitar:

I ordered this guitar a while ago, when I got it I was really excited because it looked awesome and sounded pretty cool too. However out of the box it made a horrible buzz and for whatever reason would not tune right. When I took it to the guitar tech he said that not only had all of the fret-slots been cut off, WAAAAAAAY Off (Hence the tuning issues) the Frets themselves were uneven in height (Hence the buzzing) The repair would have cost more than the guitar is worth. On top of the low quality of the guitar there was even a card in the box indicating the guitar had actually been inspected for quality before being shipped out which is obviously some joke. I would not recommend anyone buy anything from this company because of this is how the ship "Inspected" units, I would hate to see the ones that don't get inspected.
