This is an excellent guitar that is priced perfectly for what you get. The guitar itself was clearly designed to be a bare bones guitar of smaller size for someone whom enjoys metal and wants something basic (both in prise and in features). I bought this guitar knowing exactly what I was getting and it did not disappoint. so here are my honest observations.

The pros: I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and speed of the neck. The single humbucker puts out medium quality. I expected worse considering the prise of the guitar and the fact the pickup is stock. 90% of stock pickups are terrible, the pickup sounds much better then the stock pickups that came in both my Ibanez RG series and my Epiphone. The pickup certainly is no EMG 81/85 though! that's for sure. The tuners work well and the bridge is a easy to use tune-o-matic.

The Negatives: bad balance, it neck dives. which very annoying while playing standing, However this can be fixed very easily. just buy a cheap pair of wrist weights (like the ones people use for jogging and such, found at any sports store and very cheap) attached it to your strap on the back end. the other point that should be noted (and expected with any guitar with an odd shape) is that the points will poke you while sitting. I find that the back corner of the top point, just above where the strap button is, will dig into my chest. I just put a little pad on the front end of my strap and it solved the problem.

Bottom line: great guitar for it's prise. does not have a lot of features. but what do you expect for a guitar in it's prise range, out of the guitars in that range I think it's an excellent guitar and it's neck plays VERY fast and VERY comfortable. the action is excellent and ZERO fret buzz.

The guitar looks beautiful, but people are too blinded by that to notice that the sound is comparable to a guitar purchased at a big box store. It is by far one of the best looking guitars I've ever touched, but this guitar is proof that looks aren't everything. I got new pick-ups and strings, and it still didn't sound up-to-par with even some of the standard Strats.

I have a JS1200 and others, but I just can't stop playing it. When It came it was in tune and the neck and strings perfect. I play through a double stack Marshall and I just keep picking up this thing. Well, it makes me smile so I'm happy. Buy one. Trust me I've been playing over 50 years.

Guitar was in excellent condition. Still had protective plastic over frets and came in original box. Was as if it was brand new, not used. extremely pleased with condition. Got a "New" guitar for a "used" price.

            a great little S.O.B.

Comments about B.C. Rich Avenge SOB Electric Guitar:

this guitar looks and feels great... Ive never had a Bc Rich guitar I didnt like, and Ive had many, of all different series... with BC Rich you pretty much always get what you pay for... this guitar is stripped down to make it affordable... you could get a guitar with more features for the same price, but it wont look nearly as sweet... i say its worth every bit of what it cost... and it sounds just fine... if you want a guitar that looks as sweet as this one, with more high end features, your gonna have to pay more money... its as simple as that...
            sounds great

            Conversation piece, nothing else

Comments about B.C. Rich Avenge SOB Electric Guitar:

This was my first guitar, to be honest I was super excited when I got it but it is nothing but a wall hanger. The single HB in the bridge sounds terribe, the neck bowed like no other guitar I have ever had and I've got 9 guitars now. This guitar looks cool and all, but thats it. If you want a good beginners guitar and like the thinner necks, just buy a Jackson or an Ibanez. On top of everything else its made of cheap wood, which in the case not sure if I'd ever want a solid mahogany body of these. thing would be a hoss.Long story short things not worth it.

Comments about B.C. Rich Avenge SOB Electric Guitar:

Great guitar, plays very nice and has a skinny neck. I love it all around but the input came loose right when I got it and played it a few times so I had to tighten it up but other than it plays better than a lot other way more expensive guitars.
