Comments about B.C. Rich Mockingbird One Electric Guitar:

Let me start by saying that I was not expecting the quality of a Les Paul guitar and I do own other guitars and have never had a single problem.

The first one I ordered had a quarter sized paint run in the face but I was going to overlook that. I then proceeded to tune it and noticed lots of fret buzz and vibration noise coming from all over. Two of the washers on the tuner knobs were dancing around and had to be tightened. That took care of some of noise but I was still experiencing a lot of buzz. I had a friend of mine take a look at it and after 30 min of making adjustments most of the buzz was corrected. I am now very displeased with the craftsmanship of this guitar. I contacted B.C Rich by email and received a generic response stating that this was not normal for this type of workmanship to come out of there factory but since it was close to the holidays that a few bad one's do slip through "sorry and hope your next B.C.Rich experience is a perfect one".

I then exchanged it for the exact same model thinking I got a dud. Surprise my new one came and the first thing I notice was the volume know was dancing all over the place scratching the paint. When you turn the volume up or down the knob would spin until you could tell the wires on the inside were spinning up on the pots. I was once again finding myself having to fix my guitar before I could play it. The output jack plate was bent outwards also and had an exposed sharp edge which I had to bend into shape. The fret buzz on this one was also extremely bad and many adjustments were made to eliminate them.

So if you don't mind a new guitar being a little blemished from the box and spending an hour or so bending, tightening, and adjusting then this is the guitar for you. I would recommend not buying this or any B.C Rich guitar or maybe your next experience will be a perfect one or maybe not.

Comments about B.C. Rich Mockingbird One Electric Guitar:

Serious fret buzz at first fret low E string , some at high E . Not bad second fret , gone at 3rd . I raised the bridge . That didn't help much . I believe the nut is set too deep ! I will have a new quality nut installed to correct the issue . Still , very happy with this axe . Sounds hot , flawless finish , and feels good ! Well worth the price !

Got a chance to try one of these out at a local music store. Very light weight, nice tight low end. The pickups have a nice response. Great deal for the price :D
