OVERVIEW

A sharp-looking mahogany body with ebony fretboard and powerful EMG pickups.

The Pro X Bich is Dark, sleek and sexy, this Bich will drop jaws wherever you take it. A Shadow complexion contrasts with a TonePros ® Tune-o-Matic bridge and Grover Super Rotomatic tuners. EMG 81 (bridge) and 60 (neck) pickups provide the voice while a 24-5/8 inch scale and 24 jumbo frets on any ebony fingerboard provide the touch.

Neck-Through Construction
B.C. Rich is known as one of the pioneers in neck through construction. They use it on many of their guitars, because it provides the best possible sustain, resonance, comfort and access to higher frets. Neck-through has long been considered the premium construction method for high-end guitars. This construction starts with a long piece (or pieces) of premium North American maple. That piece runs from the tip of the headstock to the strap button on the opposite end of the guitar. This means that the headstock, fingerboard, pickups and bridge all are mounted to this single sound foundation. Sonically it is a difference you can hear. The neck-through construction also allows more of the body and neck to be cut away at the neck joint, which provides comfort no bolt-on or set-neck could offer. You will find the neck through feature on all top of the line B.C. Rich models.

EMG-81 (bridge position)
The EMG-81 is a high output pickup designed especially for the lead guitarist. The 81 is at its best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. Whether you're playing power rock and roll, or overdriving your amp, there's a razor sharp attack, and incredible sustain for brilliant soloing. If you're looking for exceptional qualities in a rock pickup, the EMG-81 is the one.

EMG-60 (neck position)
While the EMG-60 humbucker still features the close aperture coils loaded with ceramic magnets for the brightest attack of any of EMG's many humbucking models, this pickup also packs plenty of output with both clarity and cut through high end. The EMG-60 guitar pickup is incredible for rhythm guitar as metal and extreme players have discovered.

With a distinctive tone for soloing, the 60 works perfectly as a clear, yet fat lead pickup. The resonance slope is steeper but the peak is higher than other EMG models. The EMG-60 pickup is the result of a lot of input from various people. It is probably the most versatile humbucking pickup EMG makes, but doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

The picture of this guitar DOES NOT do it justice. It literally took my breath away upon seeing it for the first time. I bought my guitar from a local vendor, and paid to much for it. So i should have ordered this guitar with my regular order and saved more. The feel is killer, lightest guitar i have ever held, not heavy like other bichs. The neck is very thin, yet sturdy and smooth. the sound is absolutely intense, the other reviews werent kidding about how awesome this guitar sounds.

I could find almost no info on it, for my research but i knew i had to have. Im glad i bought it, just wish i would have been smart and got it from musicians friend when i ordered my amp and a pile of other things. Oh BTW, the guitar store owner and its employees literally sat and gawked at it with me for 10 minutes. they all said its the best bich i have ever held, or seen. and commented on it over and over, i knew they played it before i picked it up. But i didnt care, everyone needs one of these before they die.

All in All. If you want a light, sturdy, well made and killer sounding guitar this is it. Besides not many people own one, you will stand out.

I purchased this guitar because of its sale price. I had high hopes because of the features and the body shape that I've liked for awhile. Sadly, this guitar just seemed to be made of lower quality parts. The bridge pickup stopped working almost immediately. Probably just bad wiring. The guitar body was a lot thinner than I thought it would be as well. It made the sound of the guitar very thin as well. I ended up returning it.

Comments about B.C. Rich Pro X Bich:

i saw this guitar in my local guitar store and i was immediately drawn to it. first i looked it over and saw that the bridge volume pot was loose but thats an easy fix. everything was tip top. i plugged into a line 6 spider 4 75 watt amp and it made that amp sound amazing! that amp is usually pretty dull in tone but this guitar sung through it. the neck was the perfect size for my hands, not too big, not too small. all frets were easily accessible and effortless to play. the only thing i dont like about the guitar is the nut. its pretty cheap plastic and wouldnt last long with me, but thats fine with me. i put graphtech nuts in all of my guitars. all in all, i highly recommend this guitar. im planning on buying this guitar for my birthday coming up soon.

Comments about B.C. Rich Pro X Bich:

An amazing Korean import from B.C. Rich that sadly now is discontinued. The PRO X Series was voted best guitar at NAMM 2011! Has USA EMG pickups 81 Bridge 60 neck, Tonepros bridge, neck through construction with a 1/2" thick maple cap on a mahogany body, a lovely Macassar Ebony fret board with 24 frets and Grover Imperial tuners. Folks like to complain about factory setups, I always set my guitars up anyhow. I can find no flaws with this guitar, it's comfortable, action is easy and fast, the neck is similar to a Gibson slim taper, 14 degree headstock pitch, 1 11/16" nut width, graphtec nut, 24 5/8" scale 12" radius, medium jumbo frets. Tone is amazing as expected out of the EMG 81/60 set. I've owned mine for 2 years now and still love it.

Sent the first one back major rattling, when I got the second one it has the same problem after being told someone would look at it to make sure it was o.k. guess they didn't, I will have to take it to get a set up done it, so that will cost me, rattles and buzz so much I can't play it. Looks great though and a great price, just wish they would have done what customer service said that they would. Might be the last I buy from this company.

I bought this guitar on sale here and man it was worth it!!! the emgs are killer and make my behringer amp sound ten times better than it is!!!! the only down sides id say is the matte finish picks up alot of fingerprints and grease so make sure to have a good solid microfiber cloth. also when i opened this holy cow the fret buzz is crazy! its an easy fix with the bridge, but i wasnt expecting it to buzz that bad
