Comments about B.C. Rich Pro X Custom Special X3 Mockingbird Electric Guitar:

I have literally owned dozens of electric guitars, including all the premium brands. This guitar smokes all of them! I disagree with some of the other evaluators. The pickups are amazing! They are better that the 57 classics on one of my other guitars, and are better that the American Strat pickups I have on another. They don't hum. They have a wonderful sound and are very versatile. This is my go-to guitar for everything. And beautiful? OMG! This is a stunningly beautiful guitar!
Worth five times as much as the asking price!

Comments about B.C. Rich Pro X Custom Special X3 Mockingbird Electric Guitar:

I had an old BC Rich NJ Acrylic Warlock back in the day. I hawked it when times got rough and never even missed it. When my wife ordered this for me as a birthday present, I new it would be a NICE guitar, but I didn't know HOW NICE. First off, right out of the box, beautiful instrument- Gorgeous flame maple top, flawless finish. I dig the binding- very nicely done. The stock photo that Musician's Friend has on file does NOT do this thing justice. I know this is all done by machine, but it's really nice all the same. I tell ya- these new axes coming out of South Korea are really giving the US made instruments a run for their money. The setup was just to my tastes- it's like I set it up myself. Super low, with some .009's on it. Playing through my Mesa Mark V, I'm getting tones anywhere from ZZtop to Pantera and beyond. That middle pickup is a real curveball- you can pull some surprisingly usable tones from that pickup. Lotta folks carping about the pickups- I like em fine as far as stock pickups go. Everyone has their favorites, and maybe a few years down the road, I'll look into some Duncans for this beast, but the point here is that these are not the stock throwaway pickups that import guitars used to ship with back in the 90's- they are definitely valid units on par with anything I've seen in much more expensive guitars. Super fast neck- very new school approach, easy on my abused hands. Good hardware- not the cheap stuff at all. Good tuners- my bandmates are getting tired of my "Tuned at the factory" remark every rehearsal. Buy one. NOW. I COMMAND YOU!

Comments about B.C. Rich Pro X Custom Special X3 Mockingbird Electric Guitar:

This guitar looks way better in person. The finish on it is simply stunning, very eye popping. Others have mentioned they didn't love the stock pick ups but I have been able to dial in some nice tones with my hybrid combo amp. The guitar has a really solid construction and the neck is breeze to play.

I only have extremely minor complains that I feel silly even mentioning. The upper pointed horn can dig in to my chest depending on how I sit when I play, but if I sit with proper posture this is not an issue. Also I really didn't like the sound of the stock strings that came with the guitar, they were really bright and tinny, this is a cheap fix though as I just put my preferred brand on and it sounded much better. You may even prefer the type of strings the guitar comes with! Lastly, the guitar has 3 pickups and a 3 way switch, and the guitar did not come with a manual to tell me what each position is. Now this is not a big issue because it doesn't matter which pickups are on, it just matter which switch position sounds good. I have been able to figure out how to get good rhythm, lead, and clean tones by switching the pick up selector, though it would be nice to know exactly which position did what.

All in all I highly recommend this guitar!

This is my first electric guitar, and I couldn't be happier to learn the great art of playing the guitar on this steal of a deal. I checked my local music shops, and held many different guitars, from various price points, and this looks, and feels every bit as good as some guitars I looked at with a $2000 plus price tag. I am a novice, but from what I can tell, this is extremely well made. I'm so glad I purchased this guitar, and will be cherishing it for years to come. Thank you Musiciansfriend.com.

Comments about B.C. Rich Pro X Custom Special X3 Mockingbird Electric Guitar:

I decided it was finally time to learn how to play the electric guitar. I've fiddle around with other insturments over the years, but keep coming back to the guitar. I went into the big box guitar store looking for a Gibson or Fender. Nice guitars, but twice as expensive as any other comparable brand. Money's wasn't really an object, so if I couldn't find something I wanted in my price range, I would have paid more. Glad I didn't! I'm mostly interested in rock/metal, so I did some research. Seems like BC Rich, ESP and Schecter all have high quality guitars that provide exceptional value. The BC Rich Mockingbird called to me. I couldn't be more pleased! Everything about this guitar makes me smile. I really enjoy the way plays, feels & looks. If I didn't already own it, I would buy it again. My only complaint is it doesn't come with a case.

Guitar has wonderful color. Electronics are stable. After you tune your bridge, intonation, and neck bend the guitar sounds amazing and is fun to play. No fret buzz with it amplified which is what I think some reviews are complaining about. There is fret buzz when it is not plugged in but who cares, it's an electric. Once you have your guitar set up how you like it this thing is a blast. I do however, have issues with getting a new body style guitar and have to drill new hole for strap location on left side. Easy fix though.
