The B.C. Rich WMD Warbeast features maple neck-through construction, a beveled nato mahogany body, and A Floyd Rose Original locking 7-string tremolo lets you execute the most subtle tremolo or wildest dive-bombing effects and return to perfect tuning every time. tremolo. With its Rockfield Fat Ass pickup in the bridge, Mafia pickup in the neck position, and aggressive red pinstripes, there is no mistaking the sonic damage you can inflict with this WMD.

Neck-Through Construction
Neck Through construction is used on the WMD Warbeast because it provides the best possible sustain, resonance, comfort and access to higher frets. Neck-through has long been considered the premium construction method for high-end guitars. This construction starts with a long piece (or pieces) of premium North American maple. That piece runs from the tip of the headstock to the strap button on the opposite end of the guitar. This means that the headstock, fingerboard, pickups and bridge all are mounted to this single sound foundation. Sonically it is a difference you can hear. The neck-through construction also allows deeper cutaways, providing comfort no bolt-on or set-neck could offer.

Rockfield Pickups - Mafia & Fat Ass
Bridge Pickups - Fat Ass
Aggressive in its own right, the Rockfield FAT ASS bridge pickup was designed for a specific group players in mind: those with crazy, super acrobatic playing styles. The ones at the gig that make everything look so effortless and easy. As you watch in amazement you say, "Man I need to practice" or, "That's it, man, I quit!" This pickup's custom designed bobbins house larger pole pieces that help transfer string vibration from pulls, bends and leads so the user gets less tonal drop off, better articulation and note definition. The Rockfield FAT ASS has a well balanced overall tone that is mean and bold with major sustain, huge bottom end and cutting mids and highs that jump out at you. Each note is full and rings true from this pickup while you take advantage of a look that is just plain mean and in your face.

Neck Pickups
The neck version of the Mafia pickup is just as full sounding as the bridge position, without taking away from what has already been accomplished. Very minor modifications to the overall design and design concept of this pickup gives it punchy, bold tone with the same aggressive characteristics as the bridge version. A tad brighter with a little less output really takes this pickup into the smooth and warm realm of the tonal spectrum. All while maintaining that balanced bite and in your face aggressive tone that the mafia is known for!

Flat Top
The WMD Warbeast is constructed with a flat top. The flat top styling gives a bold and pristine look to the edge of the instrument's shape. The binding on a flat top finishes off the edge cleanly and gives a sleek and clean look to the instrument.

Designed to do some serious sonic damage!

Good metal guitar

By Todd Rosier

from Salt Lake City, Utah

Over all I will buy the Warbeast SOB without the tremolo cause I just love the neck. One thing is though I wish the guitar had better balance when I stand up. But as long as I can play no big deal.
Glad I found I found the BC Rich Warbeast WMD! Check this guitar out.
Features are great. Love the thick neck, floyd rose tremolo, and good pickups with a variety of sounds you can get. The neck thru is real cool. You may not believe this but I can get great acoustic sounds with my acoustic simulator.
The body though pokes me in the chest when I sit down. No big deal I love this guitar.
10 for quality, no guitar is perfect. The frets are well done. Everything was set up just right.
A gret avalue cause the guitar allows me to play to my full potential from metal to sweet acoustic sounds with my acoustic simulator. A great value.

Holy Monkey!!!

By jacob stabler

This thing lives up to its name. It's a beast for sure. Pickups are amazing, super smooth almost effortless aaction and never ending sustain. I will die with this guitar, and it will be buried with me. I've been playing metal for almost 20 years and Kerry King himself would be proud of this one. Get it!

I've been waiting to get this guitar for a year and now I finally have it and I must say I'm not disappointed. the guitar feels just right not to heavy and the neck feels natural to play. The pick ups are great and I don't have to tell you that original floyd rose's are better then licensed. This guitar is perfect for anyone looking to steep up from being a beginner with a beginner's guitar.

Well worth it

By Prophecide

from Wilmington, NC

This has to be one of the best guitars B.C. Rich has put out for the money. The ebony fretboard is incredibly smooth, and the Floyd Rose rarely needs tuning. My only complaints involve the stock pickups and the lack of inlays. I play a Mesa Dual Rectifier Roadster, and have to really work at the tone to get the Warbeast to sound as heavy and distorted as I need it to. The massive frets are nice for solos, but the absence of inlays takes some getting used to.

What can I say......

By Skarekrow13

from Western New York

.....except HOLY!!! I picked this thing up right away and wanted to play it a while before I reviewed it. Been a huge B.C. Rich fan longer than I have even been playing. I own three Warlocks all of which are amazing and this thing outclasses them all for sound. The pickups are amazing and the action is incredible. Like all B.C. Rich you will be surprised by the clean sound too. With distortion though....if another guitar sounds muddy this will be crisp. The look is insane. If you are a sit down player you will need to become used to the sharp points but that's easy enough. Mine needed a little set up from the box as it was almost impossible to tune right. I must have just had bad luck though since all three of my other B.C. Rich guitars came set up like a dream.

This is THE guitar

By Vortigern

from middle of nowhere, Ohio

You wanna play metal? Well this is your axe, man. The neck-through design really makes a huge difference in sustain and the pickups are absolutely KILLER! They sound amazingly good clean, too, which is a surprise for such hot pups. Buy this thing, like NOW, restring it with some heavy gauge strings, and tune it to B. The pickups work better for low tunings than any others I've tried. The only drawback is that the little inside horn digs into your leg if you play it sitting down, but you'll get used to that.

This guitar is the best one ive ever played by B.C. Rich. It's just so easy to play and sounds great! I totally recommend this guitar to anyone who plays metal or punk or whatever music that needs a lot of distortion. It looks awesome and I feel awesome playing it. I totally can't wait to get it!

The only guitar I'll ever want!!!

By DarkPhantom999

from Colorado

It's features, like the Floyd Rose tremolo and the locking system on the neck, are awsome!I'm not incredibly fond of the pick-ups, but they sound great just the same. The design of the body is outstandingly wicked/beautiful/powerful! it's much better to hold this guitar than to look at it! It's sleek curves and pinstripe design just seem to flow with it's music!I'm never going to buy another guitar, unless it's like this one, ever again!
