Rich neck-through construction, 25-1/2" scale length, Rockfield Mafia pickups, Floyd Rose Original tremolo unit and a host of other small details.

The use of a ceramic magnet gives a pickup extra power due to the increased magnetic field that they provide. This feature makes the Mafia pickups produce a hotter and thicker tone that's really aggressive and full. The increased low end and thick mids and in your face highs is what rock and roll was built on. Balanced and full of sustain this pickup is a great representation of its namesake, a truly intimidating killer.

I own the maple/maple, neck-thru, hard-tail (wraparound tailpiece) version. (Which seem to be hard to find. The only other hard tail versions I've seen are with bolt-on necks)
I've owned this guitar now for about six months and can easily say it's the best guitar I have ever played and owned. The neck is amazingly fast, the fit and finish are top notch, and I am seriously considering purchasing another if I can find another neck-thru hard tail version of it.
When I first bought this guitar, the only thing(s) that concerned me were the pickups, but I was pleasantly surprised... these Rockfield Mafias are amazing. So amazing, in fact, that I've been looking for a set to go in my back up guitar (an Ibanez Xiphos).
I also love the weight of the guitar. It's not too light and not too heavy.
My version has a TonePros locking wraparound tailpiece and Grover tuners. This is a match made in heaven.
The neck thru construction gives it infinite sustain and clarity, especially on ultra fast metal licks and riffs.
While the guitar is aimed at metal guitarists, the coil taps make it EXTREMELY versatile. It has become my main guitar for literally everything I do. I would recommend it especially to session musicians who need a variety of sounds in one package.
Metal, blues... hell, even country if that's your bag. This thing can do it all.
The bottom line is this: On every guitar I've owned, I can think of at least one thing I would change... I wouldn't change anything about this one.

I have the ebony fingerboard onyx finish model. The quality of it is great. Acoustically loud and resonant. It really transfers through an amp. Delivers serious punch. The 2 back strap buttons are a great idea. If you want a strat body that hangs on you like an explorer, the top back button is the ticket. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a neck-thru guitar with an original floyd rose and passive pickups.

This review is for the Maple/Maple version.The feel of this guitar is very balanced and light weight. I was rather surprised with how articulate the pickups are in this guitar. They're a little bass heavy, but I can always dial that back on the amp. Acoustically this guitar sounds really good and just sings. If you're curious about the neck thickness, just picture a Fender Strat (or a standard thin). It's a little thicker than an Ibanez Wizard, but thin enough for fast playing.The back of the neck is bare wood (another reason why I chose this guitar) and feels smooth and fast. The frets aren't huge which is nice and the OFR is very VERY nice compared to licensed FR's.
