Comments about Bedell Performance OH-18-G Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

I had not heard of Bedell until I visited the Two Hippies store in Nashville. The store carries Bedell, Breedlove, and Martin guitars. Great selection, by the way. Anyway, I strummed several Martins and Bedells and, in all seriousness, a couple of the Bedells were phenomenal. These were the new models. The 1964 Naturals in particular caught my eye and ear. Beautiful to look at, gorgeous sound, from parlor and concert size guitars. But out of my price range, cause I'm poor. So, when I got home, I searched, and lo and behold, an earlier, cheaper model showed up here on Musician's Friend. Parlor size, solid wood (you can see the specs I guess on the site), and under 400. Took a small chance, paid off big. Don't tell Musician's Friend, but I think I stole one from them. This guitar is gorgeous, and sounds sweet and beautiful. COULD NOT be more pleased with the purchase. If you've not heard of Bedell guitars, search for them--they are superb. And much, much thanks to Musician's Friend for EXCELLENT--prompt and honest--service.

Comments about Bedell Performance OH-18-G Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

After listening to Ian Anderson playing his parlor guitars, I thought it was time to get one myself.
Of course I did not want to pay $3k-$7K for one. So I got his one when Musician's Friend had a special on this one. What a good choice. The sound is quite good, action is fine, and the overall construction is well done. My wife even commented about how nice it sounds. If you are looking to try an "O"-type guitar, try this one first.

Comments about Bedell Performance OH-18-G Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

I own many guitars, rotate what is on my stand and kept handy for practicing. By practicing I mean for my 15 minute daily pleasure or when inspired to learn an acoustic based song. Within my reach are guitars made by Martin, Gibson, Taylors and Cortez. I know it's funny to see Cortez on the list but the late 70s/early 80s Cortez lawsuit copies are tremendous guitars. This baby joins the list. It is small bodied and I'd say that initially the fret board seemed a bit narrow for fingerpicking but the sound was so rich that I kept picking it up and quickly adjusted to the size. This guitar just sounds so beautiful and rich when picking through or strumming a chord. I would definitely pick up another model from this manufacturer. Very happy with purchase.

Comments about Bedell Performance OH-18-G Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

I was a little weary about this being made overseas. I figured there had to be corners cut, poor craftsmanship or other inconsistencies. I was shocked. Attention to detail is amazing and this guitar plays and sounds incredible. I got it as a Stupid Deal, but I would pay the full price in a heartbeat. It's worth every penny.

Comments about Bedell Performance OH-18-G Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

I wanted an inexpensive parlor guitar that I could keep on a stand next you my couch that I could just pick up and play whenever the urge hit without having to drag out one of my more expensive guitars. I wanted a small body so that I could play it comfortably in an easy chair or on the couch. When this guitar showed up as a Stupid Deal at a ridiculous price, I couldn't resist.

This little Chinese built guitar exceeded all of my expectations. It is very well built, handsome, sounds great and has decent action. I almost feel bad leaving it out all the time.

The only thing that's a little weird is that Bedell seems to have orphaned this guitar. It comes with absolutely no documentation, no stated warranty, or anything else that normally comes with a new guitar. When I went to register it, this model is not an option in their registration menu, and there is no mention of it anywhere on their web site.

It is a good little guitar, perfect for a lazy guy like me, or a young person just learning, or someone with smaller hands.

Comments about Bedell Performance OH-18-G Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

I've been playing guitar for about 10 years now. I've owned and traded most of my guitars. This is a keeper.
The body size is extremely comfortable. It has the size of a classical but the sound of a jumbo. The only thing I have done is taken it to a luthier buddy of mine and had the action lowered just a bit. The woods are very nice(incredible detail); great construction; tuners are excellent (stays in tune). IT has a very natural look to it as it doesn't have flashy inlay; its all wood.
If you are looking for something with high quality but not extremely high in price, try one out. You won't be sorry.
