The little amp is a kick butt little rocker. Much fun and loud enough for a bedroom rocker, with quite a bit of variability. Good value, much better than the equivalent Drive amp. The guitar plays well but the frets stick out of the sides of the neck significantly and will wear the skin off of your thumb knuckle and index finger pretty badly if you play with your hand wrapped around the neck allot. Also, the bridge on this one has a pretty bad bur inside where the string passes through, causing the B string to break on about a weekly basis. The cord supplied with it lasted only a week, which is 4 days better than the one that came with the equivalent Drive package that I had picked up for one of my other boys a few months back. If I had it to do over again, I would get the Behrigner amp with the Drive Guitar. I fact, I have done that for one of my other sons. Ya, it does cost more this way, but the Drive amp is incapable of clean sound and this Behringer amp can. Overall, it is an excellent bang for the buck. With slightly more attention to detail on the guitar, it would be a hands down winner for the bargain starter guitar kit.

I bought this guitar a year ago and I am buying a real fender strat now. I bought it when I was a begginer and it does no longer suit my needs. It goes out of tune quickly, the neck is made poorly, the string touches the second fret and doesn't vibrate freely. If you want to play chords like the simply C,G, etc, it is good, but for playing solos on the higher frets it sucks... big time. After pressing the whammy a few times, it goes out of tune. Also, the amp is not really that good. Better get a nice beginner amp made by a real firm (Roland Microcube for example). All in all, I don't see how this guitar got such high marks when the Fender Standard Strat got almost the same.

a better book would be useful. and it doesnt need to be in 80 different languages
i got a behringer for christmas and it is the best guitar i have ever had. the sound is awsome and so is everything about it.
it's a vey good value for that price
The guitar and amp package is alot higher quality than I expected for the price. The distinct sounds seem to flow without missing a beat. I am truly amazed!!! I am a novice but my son is a musician and he was greatly impressed...
This package is great for the starting guitarist, or even someone that has played a long time. I recieved this guitar and amp package for this past Christmas, ans it is just a great guitar at an exceptional value. I have played real Strats, and this is just like the real thing. After a few adjustments of the neck and bridge, it played very nice. The little 15 watt amp is plenty for a starter, and decent enough for just a good all around practice amp. I am very pleased with this package.
I have had this guitar for 3 years now. It still works fine. I play every day of the year unless I'm away from home. This guitar is a entry-level guitar. Buy it, get good and go buy a real good guitar. Adjust the action and find a good string gauge and you will be fine. The amp is O.K. All in all its a good beginner guitar. It can stay in tune o.k. I removed my wammy bar though. So its O.K.
It isn't much of a big name, but it is a great guitar. None of manual is in english, but are any these days? Over all it is an awsome guitar!
Nice package featuring great practice amp and high quality guitar at a very affordable price. Will need to replace the strings that come with the package pretty soon (I broke one trying to tune the guitar for the first time). Other than that, though, I'm very happy with the package and expect to start jamming out pretty quickly.
How I rate each Item:Guitar- pretty good guitar for the price. Some parts feel a little cheap but overall it's a good guitar, especially for beginners.Amp- This is a great amp. I've seen where the retail price for the amp alone is almost as much as this whole package. You can get almost any sound out of this amp that you want. This is the best amp in ANY guitar pack you will find. Absolutely great.Accessories- Cable, picks, strap, padded gig bag, chord chart. Really the only thing missing is a guitar tuner, but you can pick one of those up for just a few dollars.Overall this is a great guitar pack for the price and I recommend it to anyone, especially beginners.
I am absolutely impressed!!! The guitar is of excellent quality, but I was most impressed by the AMP!!! It is absolutely awesome!!! Perfect for practice and loud enough for a small gig.
