Exquisite details, all solid woods and an premium ebony fingerboard make this pre-war inspired guitar an instant classic.

The BR-180 is a tone powerhouse with a beauty that is second to none. No expense was spared on this guitar as is evidenced by the authentic pre-war D-45 style specifications. Each guitar is crafted to be light and resonant. Meticulous attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is evident in the traditional, forward-position, hand-carved parabolic X-bracing that allows the solid spruce top to ring loud and true. Blueridge guitars feature a traditional dovetail neck joint, slim mahogany neck, adjustable truss rod, and butterbean-button, Kluson-style tuning machines with an updated mechanism for modern precision and feel.

Blueridge is an offshoot of the South San Francisco-based Saga Musical Instrument Company. Blueridge specializes in "traditional" guitars that offer today's player vintage styling with modern performance at a level of quality and price that compares favorably to historic guitars. Each instrument is the result of detailed research and is carefully crafted at the Blueridge factory. Consistency is evident throughout, from the fretwork to the intricate inlays that adorn each Blueridge headstock.

Comments about Blueridge Historic Series BR-180 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I own and play three Martins (HD-28, D-41 and D-45) and I can tell you that my BR-180 is right up there with them. The sound is great and so is the action. I had a local guitar shop add a Fishman Matrix Infinity Pick-up to it is it is one absolutely fine sounding guitar.

Comments about Blueridge Historic Series BR-180 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

It took me all of ten seconds to decide to purchase this guitar. The only thing I missed was that the nut spacing was skewed too close to the center, and I had to have one re-cut to spread the string spacing out toward the edges better. The tone and stability of this instrumment is impeccable. The construction overall beats the American products, I'm not happy to report. Comparable to a high end Guild easily.

Comments about Blueridge Historic Series BR-180 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

The Blueridge BR-180 is a nice guitar but I have a Gibson Blueridge and this one will not hold a light to, I also have a DM Martin which I play a lot But My Silvercreek SC170 will blow the BR-180 away, and about one third the price. The BR-180 may get better with playing, but only time will tell

Comments about Blueridge Historic Series BR-180 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

It may be too early to tell a full review, I finally decided to get this after sending a blueridge back. Initial out of the box is amazing!!! I could be blind folded with a D-28, D35, and my blue ridge and would not be able to tell them apart! My only complaint is MF shipping, looks as if someone stepped on the box.

Comments about Blueridge Historic Series BR-180 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I've only been playing guitar for two years and wanted a better guitar. I just love the volume and tones from this guitar. It's much easier to play than my other one and is great for bluegrass, oldtime music and country.

Comments about Blueridge Historic Series BR-180 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

[*] It is a high quality instrument throughout. If you like the bling of a D-45 but can't justify the price, then look no further. I'm not claiming that the BR-180 will outperform more expensive guitars, but it will certainly hold its own against many costing hundreds more. Dollar for dollar, all Bluridge models appear to offer great value and should not be overlooked...
