The C20/SMYe's concert body guitar with its special Myrtlewood back and sides-combined with Breedlove newest brace pattern- will appeal to the eyes ears hands and hearts of all players. Part of Breedlove's Oregon Series Guitars, the C20/SMYe is 100% hand-crafted in Bend, Oregon using all solid and sustainable tonewoods sourced in the Pacific Northwest. The Concert body shape is Breedlove’s best-selling and most awarded shape, so for the Oregon C20/SMYe, indigenous Myrtlewood is used for the back and sides and Sitka Spruce has been selected for the top. This combination produces a powerful, clear tone that'll make it ideal for recording, with its impressive balance and volume, especially in the mid range. Other appointments include black binding, herringbone rosette and top purfling, and ebony fretboard and pinless bridge. For amplification, the exclusive Fishman Ultra-tone electronics package is included allowing you the opportunity to play solo or perform in front of thousands.

As the other reviewers have mentioned below this guitar sounds incredible. When I first picked it up I couldnt believe how light it was. This low weight and not overbuilt means one thing PROJECTION. From a concert size the projection is incredible and even louder than a guild auditorium size I have. Clear note definition even within a strum. Works fine even under heavy strumming but can also be played finger style with the same success. Kind of a swiss army knife of a guitar. Myrtlewood has a tone similar to koa back and sides with some mid punch. But the sitka top balances it with great high and low end freq. This is easily the guitar of the year from NAMM in my opinion given its price point and exceptional build quality. Action was a bit high from the factory but not bad by any means..just nitpicking.

It's hard to put into words how beautiful this guitar looks and sounds, but I will try. Every individual string is balanced and rings out clear in a strum. The balance between the bass, treble, and mids is remarkable. Every note is very pronounced in fingerstyle. This guitar would suit recording perfectly. The electronics are great, you can't go wrong with Fishman. The projection of the guitar is phenomenal and though this is a concert size body, it is wonderfully loud and pronounced without being muddy. And though not nearly as important, the looks of the guitar are just as pleasing. I'm absolutely blown away by this guitar. Breedlove really scored a gem with using Myrtlewood for this Oregon series.
