This is the replacement for the previous "B" Stock in my previous review. I love the looks and quality build of this guitar. The hardshell cases alone is almost worth the total price. The price was also was lower than the first one.
The preamp was still a problem. The installed preamp doesn't even compare to a cheap Fishman, but I made it better. I took the strings off and discovered that the bone bridge saddle wasn't completely flat. I sanded it flat and to lower the action a bit. Tightening the neck truss rod also had a difference on the action.
I put on a set of D'Addario EJ46TT strings and the overall sound was alot better. I like the hard strings and sound. I use medium strings on my acoustic and electra guitars and get a much fuller tone.
For the price, you really can't go wrong. It's cheaper to buy the B stock and have a guitar tech improve the electronics (or replace with a Fishman) and set the neck and bridge.
I took a chance and it paid off.

I ordered a "B" stock because of the great price. The guitar looks great and I was looking forward to using it for certain songs in our set to get a different sound.
When I plugged it in, I could tell something was wrong with the preamp. I had to set the volume all the way to full to get any decent sound. I also had to increase the volume on my amp as well. Of course, this created a big problem matching the volume to my other guitars. I tried using a new battery and nothing helped. The web describes that it comes with a Fishman preamp, which I prefer, but it came with a B-Band T-35. Hadn't used a B-Band before, but I know that it is a good brand.
Musician's Friend is sending me a replacement and I am hoping this will fix the problem. If it does, then I would recommend this model to anyone.
There's no way to be sure about any problems buying "B" stock until you get it. In this case, the "B" means BAD.
As always, Musician's Friend's customer service assistance was great. Just be careful when ordering any "B" stock items and call Musician's Friend as soon as you notice a problem.
I'll write a follow up review when I get the replacement if that one works fine.
