Dean

Bringing back a great ride with lots of style.

Originally designed with elegance in mind, the Dean Cadillac Select Electric Guitar has only improved with age. It's offered with its original 1980 specifications including the select mahogany body and neck. Other appointmets include: multi-ply binding, rosewood fingerboard, block inlays and gold hardware. In addition, the new Cadillac is now available with a carved, highly figured flame or quilted maple top.

Like the Dean ML, the Caddy has appeared both onstage and in videos of many top artists over the past two decades. The Cadillac's biggest moment might have been the night it appeared on stage as the Dean endorsee walked away with five Grammy Awards.

Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

Owned mine a little over a month now. Cherryburst finish is perfect. Plays similar to a Paul. Great neck, frets and setup was "spot on" at delivery. Gigged with it about 3 times now. All tones are easy thru a Line 6. Everything from clean 50's rock and blues to 80's metal, sounds great. Just roll off tone knob on the bridge pup a little. Great value. Get one, and fall in love.

Just got this guitar today. Beautiful guitar, not a blemish. Weight seems just shy of a LP Studio so it's got some heft. With the body cutouts, a comfortable guitar overall. Action was freakishly low but plays well(and fast), up and down the neck. But I did find a 1st fret buzz. The neck seems to be totally straight so a slight tweak on the truss rod should clear up the buzz. The zebra pickups sound good and have a cool classic look but there's a pair of Seymour Duncan SH-8's slated for this guitar. Also, ordered a Gator Cobra gig bag and it fits perfect and didn't break the bank. This is my new go-to guitar and with the SH-8's, I'll have the coolest ax in town. Thanks Dean!

I bought a Dean Boca 12-string a few months ago, and was very pleased with the quality and ease of play.  I also play an Epi Les Paul and Fender MIM Telecaster.  I decided to take a chance on the Caddy because I wanted something a little different.  I wasn't disappointed!  My cherry burst is absolutely beautiful.  The finish is flawless, the setup was very good right out of the box, and mine even came with D'Addario strings.  The binding and quilted top make it look like a $1000-$2000 instrument.  I like the pups, nice highs and good mid-range.  Good blues/classic rock machine.  By the way, the Tantrum 42.75" long "Skull" case fits it perfectly.  Definitely a keeper.  I highly recommend, and thanks to Dean!

Love the cosmetics of this guitar, it easily looks like a guitar two to three times the price. It has a great neck--very fast, but the action was freakishly high out of the box, so had to spend a little money visiting my guitar tech. The pickups are not amazing by any stretch, I imagine a good set of seymour duncans would really bring out the potential of this guitar. Also, although the headstock looks cool it's a pain to find a case that'll fit it. Sadly, it sounds awful though my favorite amp (A fender frontman) so probably gonna have to invest in a marshall or peavey.

I stumbled upon this guitar at a pawn shop. Priced at 275 bucks, I couldn't resist. For the price, this guitar is awesome. The neck pickup is a little muddy, that is my only complaint. It's light weight and the finish (cherry sunburst) on it is beautiful, definitely my favorite guitar in the collection in terms of looks. The toggle switch is in a good location, very easy to flip from neck to bridge in the middle of a song. With a proper set up, your fingers glide across the fretboard with ease. I definitely recommend this guitar
