A solid signature model guitar that was built for action.

The Dean Dave Mustaine Zero electric guitar was designed by Dave Mustaine in conjuction with Dean's master guitar builders.

Everything about the Dave Mustaine Zero guitar simply works, with the right combination of woods, electronics, and style. Unique Zero guitar features include a 25-1/2" scale length, modified Z-style body with sharper angles and edges, special set mahogany "D-shaped" neck, and a headstock design with in-line tuners.

Dave Mustaine Duncan Live Wire humbuckers and the guitar's string-through-the-body produce unbeatable sustain. The dual volume, single tone, and 3-way switch is the control configuration that Dave prefers. With a distressed nitrocellulose lacquer finish and distressed hardware the Dean Dave Mustaine Zero is a beast that feels like it's been the family for years. Hardshell case included.

Comments about Dean Dave Mustaine Zero Electric Guitar:

This guitar really had my hopes up. The playability is excellent and it looks great. And while it's not heavy all the weight is right behind the neck joint which makes the guitar put all the weight on your left shoulder. Lighter than a Les Paul by far, but cramps your left shoulder and arm in a surprisngly painful and uncomfortable way. The tone isn't bad, but not for me. This honestly is not a bad guitar but the poor weight ditribution makes it unplayable standing IMHO. I have played Episphone Explorers, Jacson Kellys, and ESP/LTD Exs and so far the only guitars of this shape that are correctly balanced are Gibsons. Too bad, this guitar played so well, I was really hoping to keep it.

    Mind Sufficiently Blown!

Comments about Dean Dave Mustaine Zero Electric Guitar:

I couldn't be happier! I mainly play Metal and classic rock but have been able to play almost every style of music except country. The active pups are surprisingly versatile. When you dial back on the volume you can get some realy sweet clean sounds. Crank it back up and you can blow your eardrums out. I have been playing for about 11 years now and I dont think that I have played a better sounding more comfortable guitar that didnt cost over $3000. I was skeptical about getting a signature model guitat. I never really wanted someone else's name on a guitar that I would be playing everyday. But, after playing this guitar all of my concerns have gone away. Dean and Dave Mustaine have knocked this one out of the park.
Neck is AMAZING!! I love the string through body for the increased sustain. Grover tuners are excellent.Body is surpisingly light weight for its size. It is, in fact, lighter than my Epi Les Paul which is about half the size. Now for the main event......the Mustaine Live Wire Pickups. These are some of the best pickups that I have ever played. I was worried because this is my first guitar to own with active pups. Have played several but never really liked the sound. These are great! They clean up like a passive but with the howl and scream of actives. I think the bridge pup is modeled after the Seymour Duncan JB and the neck is modeled after the Duncan Jazz. This guitar will hold a note until the cows come home. This is everything that I was looking for in a guitar.
Fit and finish are flawless. Only complaint is that the included case is a little flimsy. But, it is nice that it comes with a case unlike Epiphones and LTDs.
It is very hard to find a guitar with everything that you want that is also reasonably priced. This is it for me. The features and quality of this guitar would easily go for $2000 or more if it had Gibson or ESP stamped on it.

Comments about Dean Dave Mustaine Zero Electric Guitar:

The best guitar I've ever had, I love the Live Wire electronics, the light weight, and the fast playability of this awesome axe. I have played Gibson, Ibanez, BC Rich, Jackson, ESP, Fender, Schecter, and I keep going back to Dean because of their quality products, not only for the active musician but also for the hobbiest. Keep thrashing

    Beautiful Weapon

Comments about Dean Dave Mustaine Zero Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar because I really liked Dave's new take on something other than a V. This guitar is incredible! Gorgeous Silver Finish, Ebony board, amazing sounding Seymour Duncan Livewire Mustaine Pickups, Set-Neck, you name it. I was originally skeptical about getting a Dean at first because I've played the Dimebag guitars and I hated them. This guitar is truely a masterpiece! I highly recommend it. The only flaws I could find were where they glued in the neck, you can see the seam where it's attached, and It might fool some to thinking it's a scratch. Trust me, I have Ibanezs, ESPs, and more. This guitar stands up to them and will definatley be road worthy. Good job Dean and Dave, this is a awesome versatile guitar that can be used for many times of music, and I guarentee you won't be dissapointed.
