I never really cared to buy a guitar that had somebody elses name on it but I am glad that I did. I have always been more of an Ibanez guy but I have to say Dean made me come around and love their products as well. Neck is smooth and thin, frets leveled nicely, the licenced my Floyd Rose actually works really well and staying in tun remarkably. For the size of the guitar I expected it to be a little heavier but it's about medium weight, which for me is just fine. Dimebucker is brutal and the Dime Time neck pup is great for soloing.

stay away folks. i owned one when these first came out.doesn't stay in tune at all and has horrible "soldering" throughout. Dean is/has been cashing in on Dime's tragedy for ten years now and has yet to put out anything befitting of his name.Even the cheapest Washburn signature Dimebag models were light years ahead of any of these. they've dropped the price and they are still not close to being worth it.Oh and this has the trashiest licensed floyd rose i've ever seen and i've just about played em all in 20+ years.

Comments about Dean Dime-O-Flame Electric Guitar:

I have searced quite a while for a good Dime model. Each one of them i tried out just was not satisfying to me, the floyd rose never stays in tune, the action sucks, etc. But this particular model I felt there was some hope for. Unfortunately it turned out to be the worst Dime model I have ever layed my hands on. I give up already with these guitars!!!! There is just no good Dime models out there!!!!

Comments about Dean Dime-O-Flame Electric Guitar:

Got this guitar when it first came out. Now, I'll never have to buy another guitar - EVER!!! Love this thing to death, I want to be buried with it! One thing - ALL Deans need a string tree ($4 part) between the nut and the tuners. Had to put one on my ML79 fixed-bridge too. That cures the slight up-tuning when you tighten the locking nut. Other than that - best guitar EVER!!!

Comments about Dean Dime-O-Flame Electric Guitar:

I shred and the shop owner set it up in drop D for me. I have tweaked the tunning once in 8 months. I will be cremated with this guitar! Now it's Dean and BC Rich for me as BC Rich finally kicked it up a notch lately and the Gunslinger I got beats my custom Jackson! I couldn't believe it. My Dean kinda out does them both in some areas. BUY THIS GUITAR! Buy any Dean for that matter. my next axe is going to be the Dean V with bolt on neck. Even that guitar smokes.
I moved to this small town in Kansas that had a music shop that had very little in selection, but hanging on the wall was the Dime O Flame. I always wanted the Dime Bolt or CFH model, but this one sang to me before I even touched it. You know the features already. The best features are the fact it's one heavey chunk of mahogony, set neck and it has a Dime Bucker. Nuff said
It was pre owned, but not played much. Coulndn't find a flaw at all. I can care less about the finish, but it's an attention grabber.
Does $325 out the door sound like a value? YES!!!

    The Guitar of Shredding

Comments about Dean Dime-O-Flame Electric Guitar:

I debated whether or not to get this or the DFH... so I got both. Never the less this one is not put down. I did change the pick-up to a L-500XL the the DFH, and recommendation flip the Dimebucker so the treble blade is first. The squeels are incredible. Get a lesson on how to tune on a Floyd Rose if you haven't already learned, it can be the difference between love and hate. The neck pick-up is fat and gives good tone for blues solos or Dime solos like "Walk" and "This Love". Buy it, but set it up right before you play... it makes a huge difference.

Ok first of all, just because it has bime's name on doesnt mean your going to sound just like him.now if you can get past that, its a great guitar.I love it.Killer looks, great tone and even greater price tag.Love the lic floyd, dive bomb and squill all day.And the pic doesnt do it justice, its way cooler in person. So if you want a great guitar, at a even greater price, this is the guitar for you.

Comments about Dean Dime-O-Flame Electric Guitar:

I just waited 2 weeks for this guitar to come in. It's finally here and wow am I disappointed. The flame job in the picture is not as detailed as it might look. It looks like all Dean did was take a stencil and a can of spray paint to it. The Sound is great but if you are buying it for the looks forget it. It is made in Korea and the quality of this guitar just plain sucks. I'm sending it back for a Real guitar a LES PAUL because with that I have no question on the quality of craftsmanship.

Comments about Dean Dime-O-Flame Electric Guitar:

This was my first Dean guitar and I couldn't be happier. I got it 2 years ago in a trade/pay for a modified LTD explorer and didn't look back...The Floyd works good with no tuning issues once I got use to it. Graphics are good even though it's a digital sticker...Haven't changed a thing since I got it except strings and the action...Dimebucker is just what I need and the neck pup is good for clean. Neck is comfortable no matter where/how my hand is placed...Easy to sit with or stand (good balance) I like this guitar so much i'm getting another on just like it...the ML Shadow, so i can't wait.

I always wanted a Dean guitar, and have loved Dimebag since Cowboys From Hell. He stayed true to himself, never going the path of what the record companies wanted, but what the fans wanted, and brought that fire out of his soul!! This guitar is now my favourite!! I have quite a few other guitars, but I must say, I love the tone and feel. It beats my american G&L ASAT Deluxe!! Probably because I am a metal player at heart! You can't beat the quality and sound for the price. The only thing is, I have to learn how to set up the Floyd Rose on my own, which is coming along! If you want a great guitar, love metal, buy it, you will be happy!!!

Comments about Dean Dime-O-Flame Electric Guitar:

This is a really great guitar. I plugged this thing into a Line 6 Spider III 120 and raised all hell. I've never used a tremolo bar, and today proved to me I should have at least one guitar with a Floyd Rose. I created some really cool sounds using that. The neck on this thing is awesome. Low action - Im used to guitars with higher action- so that was great. The design is great, really nice job and if you look at the lower wing of the V you can see a skull- maybe it's just my sadistic point of view. The riveted knobs come in handy especially when sweat's pouring out. The humbuckers are really cool. The dean stock neck humbucker sounds great, nice and warm. The Dimebucker, now that's boiling temp. Very hot bridge pickup. Dime live on. To all you thinking of getting it, don't think twice - getcha pull.

Comments about Dean Dime-O-Flame Electric Guitar:

I don't own one but I tried one out a while back....nothing too special. I gave an average score for features because it only has 2 pups, three pots, and a 3-way pup selector...nothing too uncommon. I gave an average score for quality also. The top is a veneer or sticker that I'm sure will wear with age. Also, on the two I've played the necks were too thin and the fretboards seemed pitted. My biggest problem was with the sound, I was expecting to be in high gain heaven when I plugged in but this was not the case. I found this instrument to have more of a "classic rock" kind of sound to it, that was pretty unremarkable and forgettable....nothing special. Overall it's an alright guitar, but I doubt it would be anyones main axe. There's just not anything really all that special about it other than its shape.

Comments about Dean Dime-O-Flame Electric Guitar:

This guitar is absolutely amazing! One of the main reasons I got this guitar was because I am a huge Dimebag Darrell fan. I had always wanted one of these guitars and once I got my hands on it I never put it down. I usually play ESP Guitars and I'm not very keen on changing to another guitar brand but this one was awesome right out of the box. The Dimebucker is amazing and it also get an amazing clean sound. It has an extremely smooth and it stays in tune very well. Overall rather your a Dimebag Darrell fan or your just looking for a kick a** guitar this one is worth it. I wouldn't trade this guitar for anything.

Comments about Dean Dime-O-Flame Electric Guitar:

My parents got me this guitar for my graduation. It is by far the best guitar I have ever played. The neck is smooth and fast, the body is surprisingly light for it's size. The dimebucker at the bridge can be incredibly smooth, but has some serious bite when it counts most, the humbucker at the neck has a smooth sound. The Floyd Rose runs smoothly, and stays in tune no matter how hard you push or pull on it. As a player of European Power Metal and Norwegian/Swedish Black Metal, I was surprised at the versatility of this guitar, as it switched seamlessly to different sryles of music. This guitar plays like a dream and is a must have for serious rock/metal musicians.

I don't own this guitar yet but, I plan on it soon. The finish is awsome. I don't know were anyone says it looks horrible in person. It looks exactly in person how it looks on here. The thing plays great. Comfortable sitting or standing. It's mohogony so, if you are use to a very light guitar this one isn't for you. If you like that low end and want big fat tone you get it with the Dean Dime-O-Flame. The only reason I gave this guitar a 9 is because, of the Floyed Rose. They can be a paine but, I plan on just blocking it.

Comments about Dean Dime-O-Flame Electric Guitar:

First of all, I am a huge fan of Dimebag and Pantera. That being said, throw out the Dimebag name and you've still got an incredible axe for the money. I have a plethora of guitars and let me tell you that this baby plays as easy, fast, and smooth as any other guitar on the market...hands down, period, end of story. The playability is outstanding, the action is lightspeed, and the tone is great. As far as metal is concerned there is nothing this guitar can't do. Let's face it though, if you are even considering this guitar then that's all you need to know. However, contrary to what you'd expect, the cleans sing as well. I swore to myself that I'd never play anything except ESP, but within 5 minutes of playing this guitar in a local shop I knew I would make it mine. The icing on the cake is the Dimebag tribute features. The flame graphic is tactfully done and the electrical tape over the Zebra neck pickup was a nice touch. I can't recommend this guitar enough, although I wish I could keep this baby my little secret. Buy this guitar. You will not be disappointed.p.s. I'll join the world of metal in wishing an innovator his due. R.I.P. Dime, you always will be an inspiration. Thanks for everything.

This guitar has a bone crushing sound to it. Its not easy to get adjusted to but play some scales and get the blood running and this guitar will really practically become you. The neck is fairly fast and its easy to access the higher frets, this guitar is a flawless metal guitar which is nothing more or less than what Dime wouldve wanted it to be.

I love dimebag's playing and have always been a massive fan of him and pantera/damageplan, but one of my closest friends recently bought this guitar, and on the few times i've played it, i was massivly dissapointed. With the way it was made. It was very poor quality. Also the dimebucker lets alot of unwanted fuzz through. the licenced floyd rose wasnt very good either. also the neck was very chunky and hard to play fast on.

Comments about Dean Dime-O-Flame Electric Guitar:

wow is all i gotta say about this guitar. it just gets better and better when i play it. almost had this beauty a year and it kicks butt! almost been playin guitar for 3 years and now im getting to the point where i want my own look, own sounds etc. so i changed this guitar just a lil bit. i changed the p'ups to dimarzio's. the only disapointment i got from the pickups part from this guitar is that the dimebucker IS NOT A REAL SEYMOUR DUNCAN. all seymour duncan p'ups have the seymour duncan logo, and a "made in america" logo. the dimebucker in my guitar had none of that and just said "seymour duncan research" in small letters, so that was a disappointment. anyway, i put an OFR in it( any of you guys that wanna put an OFR in this guitar, DO IT! this guitar's recess is perfect for it!) and that made it even better. my last change on it was that i had to change the headstock. i love dime and he will always be my inspiration and in my heart, but i dont want the "dime" on the headstock anymore, so i painted it over with black paint, and left the Dean logo on it. after i regretted that and got over it, this guitar truly came out beautiful. this guitars neck is butter. i had to clean it with lemon oil, adjust the action and all that good stuff, but it was worth it in the end. the body is just wicked!(in my opinion the best guitar shape ever).with my new p'ups, it sounds AWESOME. BUT... if your a shy person, i wouldnt get this guitar cause it sticks out like a sore thumb in public. in my opinion, a very light guitar (coming from someone that weighs 115 pounds),and just an awesome guitar. this guitar will always be the first guitar that i pick up to practice with and it will forever be my number 1.thanks for reading.R.I.P. "Dimebag" Darrell Lance Abbott 1966-2004 always thinkin' of ya bro.
