This guitar is great. Simply phenomenal, all things considered. Don't let that price tag fool you, this thing, for once, is as advertised: It rocks hard! They achieve this by being simplistic in its design, minimilizing cosmetics, etc. The tone: PU's are decent on this axe, but a vet may want to change them out. They are full, but can get muddy in the lowest registers (this also depends on your amp). The body wood is superb. When they say resonance - they mean it! This thing sustains for days. Features: Stays in tune well. I have yet to take issue with that. Intonation was almost there, right out of the box. The neck joint is awesome. Again, this thing isn't about features - its about the tone and build quality. It has plenty of both. It's a trade off I'd rather have any day.Just get it, I'm not leading you on, man. Get it!
This guitar may be simple, but it is absolutely top notch in quality. I still gave it a 4 for features due to its innovative neck joint. No, it isn't fancy or flashy, but that's part of why I like it. I stopped worrying about that years ago. The satin finish feels great and gives it a classic look. I think this could be the best deal in electric guitars. You get a lot of guitar for your money. I've got a Gibson LP and a Dean Hardtail, and I find myself reaching for this almost exclusively now. Some day, I will buy another one just to put in some P90s.
