Always been a fan of Dean guitars since i first started play'n them back in the early 80's This is one fine HOT ROD !!!!! I play heavy strings so it took me awhile to get this guitar set up but once i did its everything Buddy says it is. I will admit it took me a little while to get used to the v-shaped neck but after a few days it fits like a glove !!! still up in the air about the pick ups might go to a seymour !!!to the guy that dosent own it and gave it a bad review he must of bumped his head Dean did it again thanks for such great shred guitars at such a good price !!!!!!!!!
when I first stumbled onto the clearance page I thought this guitar was put there on accident..A "typo" I called, asked around, & read every review on every sight possible before finally deciding to buy this over another ESP. My last ESP got a great review from me as well, however after 3 set-ups, many string gauge changes, & a ton of hassle, I couldn't stand My EC-1000 anymore. Let me get to the point: This guitar is worth a LOT more than the clearance price. I have been playing guitar for 28 years, & teaching guitar for 15+ years. I've played them ALL. The Floyd Rose is NOT a Knock-off so you already know whats up w/ that. The B.B showed up in tune, on time, & ready to rock.Let me just sum this up by saying I have owned MANY guitars, & none of them were even close to the AWESOME deal I got on this Beauty, W/ a capital B! The PUPS are great, the neck is PERFECT, the body, although large in shape is "light" however substantial. Last, but not least The case is solid, & it comes w/ decent strings on it too. If there are any of these left after reading this, I HIGHLY suggest one, especially for Rock/Metal. ROCK ON!!
Nice looking guitar, much nicer than the photo. String height good on arrival. Intonation was absolutely horrific. Dean, don't let the tone deaf guy set up your guitars. After setting up the intonation, everything is good. No string buzz anywhere, Nice low action. Pickups sound OK.
I'm a big fan of dean, but I gotta say this is probably the ugliest model Ive ever seen them put out.
Ok I have had it just long enough now to put it through all it's paces and I have come to find that this is an absolutely incredible deal for the super high end guitar you get at this or any price. The pickups are amazing period. Harmonics, dynamics, tone and sustain for days. Buddy and Dean really hit a home run here. The picture does it no justice at all because in person it may be one of the nicest Dean I have ever seen. The guy who doesn't own it must be going blind or doesn't like blue. You can't see the great black body binding, or the chrome highlight around the black flames...awesome. The pickup placement is odd but very, very functional and Buddy is right it works better on an ML since the Floyds are so close to the middle of the body. The genuine Floyd works flawlessly even without the dugout and dives as far as any I've seen or played and pulls up just as well too. I don't know what else to say other than THANK YOU BUDDY and DEAN! GREAT GREAT shredder and all round players guitar. I own 15 high end and/or domestic guitars and 7 basses (Gibson, Lado, Dean, Musicman, Rickenbaker, PRS, Washburn Custom shop, etc.) and this ranks up there with the best. Definately blows away my Dean Razorback V255 with EMG's etc.
The price was amazingly low and the quality of this guitar is impressive. The graphics and paint job are good and the action and playability are very good. The design and attention to detail by Buddy Blaze and Dean are excellent. If people knew how nice this guitar is, they would have been snatched up a long time ago. I feel lucky to have it.
this guitar is amazing. When Buddy told me about it and showed me the original buddy blaze ML i knew i had to have it. I cannot stop playing this guitar now, i will have it for the rest of my life. Plus you got to trust the guy who designed the original Dean From Hell. you will not regret getting this guitar at all!
This is my first Dean guitar.I figured if they're good enough for Dime, they're good enough for me.This guitar is simply amazing, especially for the price as I got it as the Stupid Deal of the Day. Wow! I figures I would have to replace pickups or something due to the low price (you get what you pay for, right?) Wrong! This things rocks right out of the box.I will be taking it in for a pro settup though as I prefer light gauge strings. The pickups are awesome, match my amp perfectly. Great thick tones as well as piercing highs. Much less feedback than my active pickups. This is now my #1 guitar in my line up. My only complaint is the 1/4" input placement on the front of the guitar. Other than that, this guitar is perfect. I am estatic about this purchase!Rock On!
