the special sg was even more slick then i thought it was . for a great price it is way more powerful then you may think.it sounds great..plays great and isnt too heavy. the tone sounds amazing..plus it has a sick look. deffinelty one of the best epihones iv purchased yet,iv played some guitars on my marshall..and so far this onehandles it best!
not a good guitar i got it thought it was good but then the pick up broke on me. now the nobs are loose for volume. it only has tremble and volume nobs its not very good. i got this guitar it sounds all right but i definetly encourage you to get a different guitar.
This guitar looks sweet and is a steal for the price but it is definitely not a "gigable" guitar for larger scale shows. First reason it constantly goes out of tune. Secondly the low E buzzs constantly. Furthermore it lacks sustain and tonal versatility.
I tuned it up and started playing and it sounds great. It really is Epiphone quality. Very low price for such a great guitar. This guitar is built to hold the Epiphone name.
I've had this guitar for a couple of months now. It is a great starter guitar. It was my first electric and it was a good guitar to learn on. My tone knob has started crackling when I adjust it and I have broken the A string twice and the B string once, all up near the bridge. So its definitely got its problems. My skill level has also outgrown the guitar so for me its time to move on. However, I think this guitar is great for beginners and its a decent value for the price. Definitely worth taking a look at. peace.
