Ok so i have a 50th anniversary fender tele made the the u.s.a but i need a distortion for my bands songs. so i got this and its got the dirty sound i wanted! the action is amazing, and the guitar has a classic look. And to be honest epiphone's quality is basically as good as most gibson guitar that are 3 times as much as this guitar. Stop thinking and just buy this already!!!!
I got this guitar about 2 years ago, i have the original sunburst lp 100. This guitar is for distortion.... it sounds ok clean. It has some problems.... the bridge pickup on mine has a clean tone, but if you strum harder it comes back. Also the neck is designed that if you play a song that uses a power cord on the first fret it hurts your hand. But it is a very good guitar though. I like it more than my fender american telecaster........ yeah it sounds that good!
this is the BEST guitar i own out of 6 sounds great and plays great. Everyone should have one in there arsenal. Great for beginners to pros.
One of the best guitars i own. I have six guitars. Out of those three of them are Epiphone's aout of those it is the BEST of tone, quality, pickups, and looks. Recomended to EVERYONE.
The look is very impressive.. Really fits my playing style... You really get your money's worth with this guitar.. I recommend this guitar to anyone who wants a good-looking yet not-so-expensive guitar...
This guitar has been problematic since I bought it. First of all, out of the box, the guitar worked like a charm, except that once the bridge tone control went beyond 50%, it killed the signal of the bridge pickup, which has a short in it to begin with. The tuning on this guitar is a mess. I play Praise/worship music at my church three times a week, and I find myself re-tuning constantly in between each and every song that we play. I have adjusted saddles, the bridge, etc. Short of buying better tuners, nothing seems to work.Once I bought and built a "kit" guitar to my specs, I found the action on this guitar disgusting. The action is pretty even on the fretboard until after the 12th fret, which has such a big gap between the strings and the fretboard that you can see clear through it.This guitar is not perfect, but it is a very good base for a complete overhaul, which I plan to do eventually.
This instrument is an amazing value! I bought it as a travel guitar and I couldn't be happier. The tonal quality is fantastic and the playability is near perfect. I certainly did not expect it to be such a solid well made instrument. However, it's probably the most solid guitar in it's pricerange. This particular Epiphone Les Paul is both eyecatching and fun to play. I will more than likely replace the pickups though the stock 600R and 700T pack a good punch. This is certainly a great instrument for active musicians and novices alike!
