OVERVIEW

A guitar with no frills, no nonsense. Just pure Les Paul in beautiful walnut.

The Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar is crafted with a beautiful solid-walnut body. The no-nonsense guitar's set walnut neck is carved to a fast SlimTaper profile and topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

The walnut Epiphone Studio gives you all the great tone and sustain you expect from a set-neck Les Paul guitar but without all the fancy cosmetics. Epiphone loads the walnut LP studio with an Alnico Classic humbucker pickup in the neck position and a high-output Alnico Classic Plus humbucker in the bridge position. Use the individual pickup Volume and Tone controls and a 3-way select toggle to get the sounds you want.

Hardware on the limited-edition Les Paul walnut guitar is a handsome and spartan nickel. That includes the Grover tuning machines, and the new Epiphone LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. The bridge and tailpiece enhance tone and sustain, and they remain secured to the walnut Epiphone Studio even with the strings removed.

I purchased this guitar, after buying 2 LP100s I liked then . Sold one . I still have to do a little tweeking on the neck, to adj to .10 strings as the 9.5s are a little lite. I changed the pick-ups a diadario Air classics. VERY VERY Mellow and warm sweet sounding clean . But with a G2 Zoom processor can get any sound you like . Most EXCELLENT Quality and a real looker. I've played Acoustics 35 Yeaers and dabbled here and there with electrics, but this one I REALLY LIKE .The Neck is a tad narrower than the regular Les Paul making it much faster to play. Stays in tune wonderfully, and am amazed everytime I plug it in at the nice sound . I did change the stock caps to vintage oil filled which also mellowed it out .Play blues mostly pop rock , inmprov , purchased some GHS boomer 10s and some didarios 10s to try out . This Guitar plays much better than the cheaper LP100 . also put on the graphite bridge to avoid string breakage. So an extra few dollars here and there, and a strong strap as it IS HEAVY , but the tone is unbelievable for the price, just takes a little tweeking to get it set up right . VERY Easy to play and Excellent quality rivaling guitars $1000+ more in price. Guess I liked the wood look since I'm so used to acoustics . Looks cool to me ...others may not think so , but so what ...Original pickups were OK , but a little on the rocky rolly side for metoo much treble is the reason I changed to a more mellow set . This one is sa keeper for sure.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Walnut Electric Guitar:

I love this guitar! It is beautiful in looks and sounds, even sounds good without an amp, feels great and is a great price! It keeps in tune very well too. If I had to say anything bad it would be that I wish it came with pickup covers. Does it matter? Nothings wrong with spending $20 just for looks!

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Walnut Electric Guitar:

After countless hours looking for a 2nd guitar with better quality and sound, i asked for this for christmas. Luckily, I was fortanute to get it. The sound is awesome. At first, I thought that the bridge was a little muddy, but it grows on you. The grover tuners are excellent. Stays in tune well. Unlike other epi lp studios, this looks classy and not cheap. It is bare bones, not frills whatsoever. Exactly what i was needing.

This is my frist electic guitar, but I have played quite a few. The action is almost automatic, the guitar basically plays by itself.I have read a lot of reveiws on this guitar and 90% of the people who buy it are very happy. I happen to fall in that 90%!

GET IT!

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Walnut Electric Guitar:

Les Paul guitars are made of beautiful Walnut wood, why paint over it? As soon as I saw that this guitar dropped in price AGAIN I could'nt get off my computer without ordering it. I could just hang this on the wall and look at it and still be happy about paying only $300 for it. I'm going to put silver pickup covers on it to match the hardware. If you are a beginner looking for something, GET THIS right now! Don't get some used Peavy Predator at the store for 300 bucks anyway, get this Les Paul right now! To the reviewer right before me, your problem is most likely that there was a poor soldering job on a wire to the pickup. Take it out and look and re-solder it. There is no need to criticize the actual guitar over that. Electronics are easy. Unless there was smoke, the only possible thing (pretty much) is an open in the circuit. Guitars are not complex at all, I will bet it's just a wire. Pickups are nothing but a coil of wire around a magnet that pick up the vibration of the string which then creates electrical flow through the coil to a wire to the output to the amp. If you messed with the pickup, then it stopped working, take it out and look where the disconnection is. Hopefully you'll be enjoying this beauty in no time!

When I took this guitar out of the box i was amazed with its quality, the finish was flawless, the set up was good, this guitar sounded pretty good with stock pickups but I added seymour duncan antiquity (neck) and wolfetone legend (bridge) and now it sounds spectacular this is a heavy solid walnut guitar but i like them heavy, absolutely fabulous guitar, I play this one much more than my gibson, if you are unsure just buy it you wont be disappointed

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Walnut Electric Guitar:

I read the reviews on this site and decided to find this specific guitar. Found it in a guitar shop and played a number of Epiphone and Gibson Les Pauls before striking a tune on the walnut. It blew me and the other guitars away, bought it on the spot. It now is part of first guitar line up with my Tele and Strat. Don't hesitate find one and buy it, you can't go wrong.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Walnut Electric Guitar:

This is the best value I've got EVER, in a guitar for less than $400. It needed a little tweeking out of the box and some decent strings, but man what a heck of a ride in a not made in USA ax. Buy it if you're in need of a great LP for a fraction of Gibson's studio. It is finished flawlessly with my only complant being the dye or whatever thats on the fretboard. My fingers are stained as dark as the fretboard for days.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Walnut Electric Guitar:

I love the Les Paul style of guitar. To me, it's the classic rock and roll guitar. This particular guitar is like eye candy. The natural walnut was what caught my attention and is the main reason I hit the buy button. It is VERY reasonably priced.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Walnut Electric Guitar:

I own acoustic and electric guitars and/or basses by Charvel, Fender, Hofner, BC Rich, Takamine, Jackson, Ovation, and ESP--quality models of some genuine expense. I've enjoyed exploring the Epiphone models for some years now, and own five of their instruments--the Casino, SG, Korina V, and two Les Paul models, one being the standard plus top. The walnut Les Paul Studio is a unique aesthetic beauty to behold and plays and delivers as well as its higher priced Epi cousins of fancier painted coatings. Frankly, the natural, glossed wood of the walnut calls you to play. If you're so inclined, though I don't feel the need at all, add in your choice of pick ups. Humbuckers or nothing--make your adjustments. Everyone's different. But make no mistake, the walnut Epi Les Paul is not to be overlooked as a quality instrument, deceptively priced as simple as it may look. Less can be more. I couldn't be more pleased, and am more enamored of it than with the Korina V, which is truly impressive to behold. Epi is perhaps the best mid-priced instrument around, so if you're looking for a Les Paul and still want to go to the movies now and again, you won't be disappointed. Music is what you make of it, and this model will get you there. Not to be dismissed! Go for it and have fun! So glad I did! Crank it up! And if you're a kid, dead space for carvings and outrageous stickers. You punks today. Jeez.

Fantastic guitar at this price point!

By CMurrie

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Walnut Electric Guitar:

This is my first Epiphone, and I am very impressed with the quality at this price point. I already own a real Gibson Les Paul and was looking for a low cost guitar to mess around with at my office. For less than $400 I got an excellent analog to my Gibson. The action, neck and weight feel nearly identical. The pickups may not be as nice, but for the price who can complain? I am running this through a Line6 POD anyway... Besides, you can always upgrade the pickups later. Also, the pictures do not do the guitar justice- it is gorgeous. I was skeptical about getting a natural finish as I tend to like rich colors, but the Walnut has a deep, warm luster- much prettier than the over lit picture on the site shows.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Walnut Electric Guitar:

This guitar is simply awesome! The fit and finish are first rate. I absolutely love the clean looks of a Les Paul studio. Add to that the beautiful natural finish, and you have one classy looking axe. I was thinking about upgrading the pickups later, and then I plugged it in. These pickups are staying put! They have a wonderful clear, clean tone that is smooth throughout, and they sound great distorted also. The sound is thick like a Les Paul should be, but clear. You can hear each individual string clearly when you strum a chord. This guitar is another winner from Epiphone and I highly recommend it to anyone on a budget that is looking for a top notch guitar. This one delivers on all accounts!
