Sound: This guitar is exactly the right guitar for those of you who play anything from "typical 60's rock" to indie. It has a vary "oasis style" sound, and when plugged into a distorted marshall, it sounds dam nice. I've played the guitar in a variety of amps (Marshall 45 watt, Kustom 30 watt, Marshall head stack) and it has never failed to impress me yet. Action, Fit & Finish: The action is quite high. This is expected of an oasis semi though, as it's got alot of qualities owned by an acoustic, and its more of a rythm guitar. Lead's still damn sweet, but i wouldn't get it if you're wanting to play Steve Vai.Pickups were spot on. You can tell this is an epiphone product, as it does not lack quality. pickups are still as good as the day i got the guitar.I can't really bad-mouth it much, as the action, fit and finish were all perfect. It loox sweet! One thing I can say is that Noels signature is on the scratch board. As I've had the guitar for a year now, the signatures gone. I thing they put that in a bad place to be honest, but I'm over it now.Reliability & Durability: I've used the guitar at every gig I've played since purchasing it. It did 5 nights straight in September, and it's still as good as it 1st was. I've not had to think of changing anything on the guitar. The Union Jack isn't going anywhere, if you catch me drift. It's laminated covering has been through alot, yet there's still no scrathes on it. Top marks there. The strap buttons are fine. They're as sturdy as they come.I often do gigs without a backup for this 1. Purely because i have complete faith in it. It hasn't let me down yet, and it most likely won't in the future. If this were stolen or lost, I would get this exact guitar, because it is the best peice of quality I've ever played. Talk about value for money...I love everything about this guitar, and more. It's exactly what any oasis fans out there need. And on a closing note...This Guitar Rocks!!!

Union Jack

By JB-L8sRH

from South Hadley, MA

I picked up this guitar mostly for the looks (I play in a band that does all British Invasion stuff). I find myself playing The Union Jack most of the time instead on my Ric or Strat. Sounds great, came setup perfectly. Good tone and plenty of punch from the pickups...

So what if it's not a Gibson?

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I always wanted a Gibson but could never fork over the cash for one. So i have been "settling" for epiphones. They're actually more bang for the buck than I expected. This guitar is excellent. i was looking for a different and more unique sound. this delivered and then some.i bought this guitar in the light blue finish. it isn't too heavy and has plenty of options. it plays very well and is very versatile. i play any kind of rock music there is, and some jazz with some classical.the clean tone is warm and delightful. it has a whole lot of headroom and makes your notes sing.the distorsion when put more towards a crunch is amazing. You can get some awesome Ac/DC type tones from it. the lead with the guitar is handled very well, too.overall this is an excellent guitar for anyone. it's good to find a signature sound. this wannabe vintage guitar does the trick and is a good choice for anyone, but especially for beginners who want to ROCK!

What's the story, Supernova?

By Def

from Cleveland

I've had this guitar for about a year and a half now and I still love it. I wanted an ES-335 guitar and I wanted a Union Jack painted onto my Gibson Les Paul. So I opted to save some cash and buy an ES-335 with a Union Jack. My only complaints about this guitar is that the toggle switch crapped out on me and the pickups, despite being good, theyre not great- which I expected. I have to knock of a few points on Quality for my toggle switch failure though. Other than that, this guitar is amazing. I took off the pickguard though cos I thought i was annoying and looked like crap. Pretty soon I'm going to throw some Seymour Duncan 59 humbuckers in it and get the toggle switch fixed. As soon as that's done, I expect it to be as good as my Gibson. This guitar sounds fat and warm- just how I love it! It has been what I expected and then some. This guitar is absolutely amazing, whether you're an Oasis fan or not.

Very cool guitar

By Clearview

from Allen, TX

The machine heads must be upgraded; I put Grover kidney bean style tuners on mine; The pickups must be upgraded; I put Burstbuckers in the SG and the SG pickups in the Supernova; Now we're in business. The Supernova stays in tune, it looks incredible on stage and now it sounds great! I only have the stones to bring it out on stage for the special gigs, but it's a must have and I'm proud to have it in my collection.

Almost perfect

By BBB

I bought this guitar, finish looks great. Action was too high out of box, had it lowered when I changed pickups for Duncans. With JB in bridge position, great tone and playability.
