Comments about ESP EX-307 LTD 7-String Electric Guitar:

For such a sick body shape, the overall quality of the instrument is lacking. Though the neck feels quite good (as it should for an upper-mid LTD), and the satin finish quite attractive, the tone of the instrument is lacking: it's muddy and sterile in all the wrong ways for a metal guitar. Though the EMG pickups would give you the impression that you are getting a quality tone, the results speak for themselves if you plug into a good amplifier. As for the build, the frets came uneven and the neck noticably bowed; even after a proper setup by a more-than-qualified guitar technician, the instrument still has intonation problems. Additionally, the master volume potentiometer came defective from the factory. For the price I paid for the EX-307, the lack of quality control here is inexcusable.

Potential buyers should note that the headstock on this instrument is heavier than most. Be prepared to hold your neck up, or prop the body up with your elbow at all times.
