I bought this guitar a while back, as a throw around guitar, that i didn't mind if it got banged around a little bit. it has taken a beating, and still plays great. the one problem i have with it, is its playability. it takes a lot of adjusting to get the action right, even then it doesn't have a great feel to it. it doesn't have the fast neck that esp is known for. but for the price, it is very well worth it.
I have owned the ESP H-50 for approximately a year and a half now, and it has served me well...I will NEVER let this guitar go. True, this guitar is not "top of the line" Jackson or Schechter, but it is the most rugged and durable guitar I have owned. The only issue that ever arose with this guitar is the volume knob is slightly loose, but I simply have not tried to fix it yet. It is stays in tune for a long time, the strings can be changed easily, it handles the thick Zakk Wylde low tune strings without a problem, and it sounds great through my Boss MT-2 pedal and Peavey amp. It plays fast and easily. Simply put, if you want an excellent guitar, BUY THIS GUITAR! It is honestly the best guitar you can buy for the money.
Amazing guitar for the price. My friend has a B.C. Rich Mockingbird and this easily outplays it. One problem with the internet picture. The blue is almost a metalic blue or a purple. It's a lot darker! Still a cool color.
I've had this guitar for a year and It is awesome. I play into a boss me-33 and it sounds great. And for the price it's amazing. The only 2 problems are that it falls out of tune real easy and that there is no wammy bar. The strings are close to the neck so it's easy to rip out solos. You can get some fat sounds to. The pickups are quiet. When you crank it up sound there's no buzzing.
This guitar is an awesome instrument for the price, and if ur a beginner look for a good instrument get this. dont bother with a strat or a jay turser or that crap. This instrument has the best sound for its price. The pickups give off plenty of chunk, and it is good for any beginner. HOwever if ur are an intermediate level player save up ur money and get an h-250 or sumthin at the level.
I bought this guitar for my sons first guitar. I was going to buy a jackson for him but when I pluged the H-50 into a crate G65 amp I was blown away the sound totaly out performed the other guitar I was going to get. I have been playing for 19 years and this guitar har a better sound than the Ibanez that I play! No regrets
I have owned this guitar for about 5 months and I couldn't be happier. It's my first ESP and I am so impressed with it. It stays in tune sounds great and feels very comfortable. I love this guitar. I just bought the ex 400 can't wait to start playing that!
this was my second guitar, even though im not a beginner this guitar rips! ive had if for about 2 years now, and it still plays awesome. a high quality guitar, great sound, very player friendly.the only problems were, the pickup selector toggle thingie was a little loose, and the headstock is kinda ugly in my opinion.but who cares! this guitar is amazing! if your looking for an electric guitar for metal...this baby is the way to go! you cant find a better guitar at this price!
For starters... you can't beat the price, but more importantly, you can't beat the tone, the bridge pickup has great chunk and crunch through my tube amp's overdrive channel. and the playability is wonderful! very low action, and a perfectly carved top make for great playing comfort! BUY IT!
I ordered this guitar by accident I really wanted an ltd f-50 just because of how cool it looked but i am really glad i got this one instead words cannot explain hoe cool this sounds just get it!
I purchased this guitar fresh from the factory. I have owned a Gibson SG and a Cort MGM and this guitar surpasses them both in all save looks. I have packed this guitar on two deployments to Iraq and it not only stands up to the pains of travels and weather, but continues to play and sound amazing! So, although the 'car paint' may not be for everyone the overall quality of the axe is more than enough. Thank you.
yeah this guitar is a great price for the durability it has great sound and gives off a sweet tone I use with alot of force and it is great to go crazy with you cant beat the price for this good of a guitar
This guitar is awesome. I got a great deal on it too. It's perfect for people who are looking for a guitar that works good and isn't expensive. I play it through a Peavy amp and it sounds great with or without distortion. I would definetely recommend this guitar to people. ESP ROCKS! :D
this guitar is awesome i love it its my second guitar and i love it it plays great the only thing that was bad on it was that the actiong was too loose and the strings twanged against the frets so yeah if you get ernie ball regular slinkys then you dont notice it too bad i love this guitar...get it!
This guitar will let you rock hard on a budget. I've owned semi-expensive Ibanez guitars and this thing blows it out of the water. ESP is great with quality and sound. If youre looking for something to serenade your lady then buy something else, but if you wanna knock down your neighbors walls then buy the H-50. I have eight years experience playing the guitar and have played in numerous bands. This guitar makes me sound 10 times better then I really am. I will never buy a different brand of guitar again.
I got this guitar and I can't put it down. For an inexpensive guitar it sure plays great. I would recommend buying this guitar if your funds are limited, you won't be sorry. I do however plan to put in a Dimarzio Tone Zone at the bridge and a Dimarzio of some kind at the neck, the stock pickups are not as out there as I would like them to be. But I did save enough on this guitar that I could put in good pickups if I want and still not spend as much as a beefier axe, and still get killer sound and playability... BUY ONE!!
I bought this guitar about a year ago and could not be any happier with it. Every part on this guitar is well made. it sounds good and is easy to play, and the price makes it a great value.
This is a great guitar for the value and overall just a very solid instrument. I've only had mine for two months, but it seems to be very well built; solid hardware, great paint quality and awesome playabillty. The tone coming from it deffinatly rivals an Epiphone Les Paul. If you want a great beginner guitar, this is what your looking for.
I got this guitar thinking it would be ok, but I was wrong. it is great. I have a few guitars but this is my favorite one, so anybody who is looking for a great guitar should get this one.
This guitar is not the best guitar in the world. But then, it isn't supposed to be. This is a 200 dollar guitar, which means that its aimed at newbies like myself. It's got its flaws, but I firmly believe that it is, by far the best guitar in its price range. I've had mine for a little over two weeks and the paint is starting to flake off, but for this price they had to cut corners somewhere, and I'd rather it be with the paint than with the electronics. My friend Ron is in a metal band and I watched him play Fade to Black on my guitar. That was definately a compliment to its playability with that solo at the end. Would I buy this guitar again if I could go back? Yes. Would I recommend it to beginners? Yes. But if you have any experience under your belt, you shouldn't even bother with guitars in this price range. Save up more money to buy something in the four hundred-to-six hundred dollar price range. Bottom line: Great guitar for the money, great feel, great sound. Shoddy paint quality is my only complaint.
