Amber Sunburst, awesome sound, cheap quality

Features:

The features are AWESOME on the amber sunburst model. I'm not a fan of EMG's so I went with the one with seymour duncan JB's and trust me, those things sound SO crisp and clear. I love how it sounds.

Quality:

The quality however, is terrible. First one i got had uneven frets and half the notes would play out of tune no matter how perfectly in tune the guitar was. I sent it back since that shouldn't happen on a brand new guitar and they sent the next one and, well...it was a bass. This wasn't musicians friends fault, it was ESP's. After sending that back and getting my third model, everything was fantastic...except one of the volume pots is busted and you cant turn the knob all the way or else the sound completely cuts out. So I'm gonna have to send this one back as well and hopefully we can get a working one soon. I love the sound, but 3 mistakes in a row shouldn't happen, ever.

Value:

Great guitar for it's price, however...like i said i went through 3 faulties so far, possibly more down the road.

Overall:

I give it a 6/10 for all the trouble, but a 10/10 for the sound. If your lucky and live near a music store with one in stock, highly recommend getting your hands on one and making sure its okay.

this guitar sounded great but, the nut was too low from factory, which makes it almost impossible to set up good, but musicicians friend took the guitar back and refunded my money.

Unbelievable Guitar! Had over 5 years

Features:

You get all the looks of an expensive Les Paul Custom for 1/4 the price.

Quality:

The reason for the 8 quality is I am comparing this to a 4,000$ Les paul, I'd say that is outstanding.

Overall:

A good guitar tech can make this guitar outstanding. I own 2, one EMG and the other Duncans. The duncan model I have the frets were alittle more jagged than the other. The inlay on the EMG one has pieces missing which doesn't affect the playability though and its almost impossible to see. You get what you pay for, everything won't be perfect but for the price you may as well call it perfect! I've had both of my guitars for over 5 years now and had no major problems with them. I usually play around 1-2 shows a week and practice just about every day. I've used the duncan model the most and it has slight fret wear and needs to be dressed and leveled to stop buzzing in some areas. The other needs some leveling just because some of the frets lifted slightly due to all the traveling and climate changing. The problems with the guitars are so minimal I don't want to take them to get repaired yet. The guitar I play the most I installed a Graphite bridge as the strings would break off of the sharp saddles from high usage. After installing the graphite bridge I have yet to break a string on the guitar in 2 years, I do change my strings around twice a month or more. I want a Gibson Les Paul so bad but after playing these guitars for so long I cannot justify spending the money on it when I like the LTD better! I cannot find a les paul I like more even the Custom! That is after reworking the guitar alittle. Both guitars were made in Korea and are equiped with Sperzel Locking tuners unlike the new models. The Duncan equiped model body is actually 1/8" thicker than the body on the one equiped with EMG's. I will never get rid of these guitars and can't wait for them to age! The finish is so good it is so hard to wear off! All I can say is maybe look REAL close at the guitar you want to buy and reject it for another with less little flaws, thats about the only differance I would have made.
