Made in Japan with a mahogany body, set-neck construction and a choice of pickups.

The LTD Elite Eclipse-I (Duncan) and LTD Elite Eclipse-I (EMG) are classic single-cutaway shapes with set-neck construction at 24.75” scale. Both guitars have mahogany bodies with flamed maple tops, and mahogany necks with rosewood fingerboards. They also include Gotoh Magnum Lock tuners and Gotoh TOM bridges and tailpieces. The ECLIPSE-I (DUNCAN) employs Seymour Duncan JB (bridge) and ʼ59 (neck) pickups, 22XJ frets, and has nickel hardware with choices of Tobacco Sunburst and Cherry Sunburst finishes. The ECLIPSE-I (EMG) offers NEW EMG 57 (bridge) and 66 (neck) brushed steel active pickups, 24XJ frets, and black hardware in a See Thru Black finish.

Made in Japan by ESP Luthiers
Unlike ESP's other LTD models that are manufactured in various areas of Asia like Indonesia and Korea, the LTD Elite line is made in Japan at the same manufacturing facility as the rest of our high-end ESP models. In fact, the same experienced and qualified luthiers who create and build our critically acclaimed ESP Standard Series are those who are making LTD Elite. You can rest assured that these luthiers are among the worldʼs finest, and will simply not build a guitar or bass without the highest attention to detail and quality.

Comments about ESP LTD Elite Eclipse-1 Electric Guitar:

I have owned many guitars, mostly strats, but I wanted to get a Les Paul style guitar and I'm a big ESP fan so I decided to go with the Eclipse I. I have a 2006 ESP M-II and this guitar I would say is on par with it, even tho it is labeled as an LTD- Elite. Its still made in Japan and I would be hard pressed to find many differences between the ESP Eclipse II and this model. Also the EMG pickups in this model are fantastic. They are the 57 and the 66. When most people think of EMG they think of the sterile sounding 81 model. These pickups are much more organic and just awesome sounding. I mainly play metal, but you can get awesome clean tones out of the 66 in the neck. The 57 bridge is very crunchy. Whether through my Engl Invader or through my Line 6 POD HD I get really good tones. I was origanally gonna swap out these pups for the HET Set, but I don't want to because the 57 and 66 combo sound that good. The only con I would give is that if you really like to shred then you're better off with a strat or V style guitar that has really nice upper fret access. Other than that, I highly recommed this Axe.

Comments about ESP LTD Elite Eclipse-1 Electric Guitar:

The new LTD elites that are said to be replacing the ESP standard series down the road are every bit and better than the ESP standards I own now. Makes sense, that are made in the same ESP factory in Japan where I feel some of the best instruments ever created have come from. I've owned Gibson Historics costing 5x as much and they weren't this good. The fit and finish is flawless, the tone and feel better than my 2009 R9 LP. And to the prior reviewer, it has 22 frets not 24 - you counted wrong.

If your looking for a Singlecut LP style guitar, the LTD Elites are your answer.
