Beautiful Guitar

Features:
Quality:

there are a few rough spots on the neck, but it doesn't hinder the playability and it is still very fast.

Value:

I am amazed at the value of this guitar.  For how good it sounds and plays, I would have expected to pay alot more.

Overall:

I have no experience with this type of bridge, I have always played a Fender Telecaster.  I needed something that could handle more aggressive sounds and styles and I chose this one because of it's looks and price.  When I opened the box, the color just jumped out, it is beautiful.  Then I was truly amazed at how well it played and stayed in tune.  If you are on a budget and need a great guitar, look no further.

LTD F-50FR: Worth the Price

| Review By: Mothmantis | 4 months, 3 weeks ago

Features:

I thought I would be giving this axe a 9 in this category, since the floating tremolo was the main reason I chose this guitar. As near as I can tell, it's a good tremolo. My problem is that the guitar shipped without the tremelo arm. Additionally, athough it came packaged with two hex wrenches, and neither one of them fits the locking nut, which I imagine I would need far more than the wrench for the truss rod. The shipping manifest claims there may be parts shipping seperately, so we'll see. Everything else is as described.

Quality:

For the price, the quality is excellent. No scratches or other blemishes. It looks beautiful, the action and intonation were almost perfect out of the box. The neck is thin with a really light finish, which I like. The volume and tone knobs, and pickup selector were clean, with no scratching or popping when adjusted. The tremolo system seems to return to zero consistently, although without the bar I can't really give it a good wang. The neck pickup was noticeably quieter than the bridge pickup, but that's an easy fix. The strap buttons seem sturdy, not like they'll pull out in the middle of a song. Finally, although I am by no means a tone junkie, the sound of this guitar surprised me, very clear and bright with a powerful midrange. Overall, it's extremely playable. My only complaint here is that the twelfth fret marker has a big inlay reading "F-50FR," which looks kind of dumb in my opinion.

Value:

This is a good value for the price ($269). I'm sure the guitar being shipped without all of its hardware was the exception and not the rule. As is fairly obvious from the pictures, this is a guitar geared towards the shred/metal crowd, so for an amateur thrasher, or someone looking to see what's up with a hotrod guitar (me,) this is the best deal I've found.

Overall:

I said 8, but that could go from 7 to 9 depending on if the arm comes in and how it sounds running through a half stack. The overall quality is a big contributor to that score, as most sub-$300 guitars usually either look, sound, or play like cheap guitars, and this being an ESP I was honestly kind of expecting it to. If you've made it this far into the review, then it is definitely worth considering, as I can't recall ever playing an Ibanez, Jackson, BC Rich, or Dean in this price range with these features that was this overall good.

I Love this Guitar!!!!!!!

| Review By: Robert Swango | 8 months, 4 weeks ago

Features:

This guitar is an absolutly great guitar. The Floyd Rose tremolo is strong and reliable. You can dive bomb with this thing till the sun comes up. Stays in tune and wont let you down. The body on this beast is without a doubt a thing of beauty, it has a flawless paint job. I have the red one and love the feel of the smooth neck. It does nt have alot of knobs which makes it soooooo easy to find the sound you desire.

Quality:

The first thing I noticed about this guitar is the packaging, which was wrapped up like a fine piece of china, very well protected. Then when i opened it up I was blown away by the looks. Once i plugged it in, the sound was tight, very metal. If you re a fan of the speed metal or grunge sound this guitar has it.

Value:

You can NOT go wrong with this guitar. The price should be twice what I paid for it, no lie! It s a great value for such a destroyer. I cant say enough about the sound and ease of play.

Overall:

GET THIS GUITAR, you wont regret it. Perfect for a biginner or seasoned player.

Overall:

I've had this thing for almost a year now. And it is absolutley AMAZING! The locking nut works great and keeps it in tune, I keep it in my room in my basement, and it barely gets out of tune after a week. You might have to reset the fine tuners about once a month. The Floyde rose bridge sounds incredible and works great. Changing the strings is kinda a pain, but it is with all floyde roses haha. The action is great, the pickups sound awesome, but I'm soon replacing my bridge. Anyway, this is my main guitar and its never given me any trouble and it sounds and plays awesomely amazingly! And a great value at such a decent price
