The translucent finish over a flamed maple top is the first hint at the depth of the LTD H-500 electric guitar from ESP. A 3-piece maple neck attached with the tone-maximizing set-thru joint combined with string-thru body construction give this guitar great sustain and strength. The thin U-shaped neck with 24 extra-jumbo frets provides comfort for all playing styles. Abalone dot inlays in the rosewood fretboard and black nickel hardware complement the rest of the guitar's look perfectly. A Seymour Duncan humbucker pickup at the bridge and a 59 at the neck provide plenty of power. Grover tuners and an Earvana compensated nut ensure you'll sound spot on in tune in every key.

As soon as I get the money, I'm getting the H-500. I've got an M-400, and that's great for standard tuning, but the floyd rose is expensive or too hard to change to drop D. This has some of the same features as the M-400, including the set-thru construction method, which is awesome; no heel hampering your high notes. Extra-jumbo frets can't be beat either. Plus this is the same pickup and wood combo as the the Will Adler model. If you're not planning on doing whammy stuff, and want a super fast death machine, or sweet blues guitar, this is it. Can't beat the quality of ESP.
I bought this guitar a little over a month ago at a local music store for less than the current price, but that's neither here nor there. After playing it through my Hughes and Kettner Matrix 100 when I got it home, this guitar is THAT nice. The finish on my guitar was absolutely impeccable, and the picture of it on the website does not do the true guitar justice at all, the flamed top is soo vibrant and its finished to a mirror like sheen, if anything, it's definitely one of the most beautiful guitars I've seen, and I've seen quite a few. -The pickups on this guitar are the industry standard, Seymour Duncan SH-4 in the bridge and a SH-2 in the neck, And after playing these pickups, since my other ESP(Viper-400) has an EMG 81/85 set in it, I was utterly blown away, This guitar has so much more character than my Viper, which can hold it's own, but this guitar is a whole different type of monster. -This guitar is also one of the lightest guitars I've ever held, It can weigh more than 6 pounds, and along with the 25.5 scale and thin neck, this guitar is made for blinding speed, not to mention down tuning, I tune this guitar AEADGB as well as Drop D and any other tuning between and it maintains string tension amazingly, which is quite rare with most guitars. All in all this guitar is a steal for the price, and I can honestly say I doubt that I'll ever part with it, I like playing metal, punk, and anything else that catches my fancy, and this guitar can pull that all off flawlessly. Don't hestitate to buy it, you'll be amazed at how much you've got for such a low price.
This guitar is highly recommended for its good pickups. The sound this guitar makes it godly. The guitar is light weighted which makes it awesome to play.
I was looking at an Epiphone Les Paul Standared Plain Top when I first saw this gituar in the local shop and it called out to me. The Mahogany body with the Seymour Duncan pickups just made such a awesome combination that when I played it, it rang like the most amazing sound and the sustain that it has it just so outstanding. In comparison to the Epiphone Les Paul that I was looking at buying the upper fretts were more acessable due to the set through neck. Seymour Duncan pickups power and sustain matched with the mahogany body, they produced incredible hurmonics that the rivals the much more expensive Gibson Les Pauls.
Just got this today. the body is actually darker than shown in the picture. low action, fast neck, killer pickups, this guitar is awesome. very comfortable. basically a pro guitar at a very good price, if you are thinking about buying a new guitar this is it. only problem was that after i played it noticed that my fingers were black bu this probably happnes to all new guitars cause the strings are dirty or something(i chose this over the ESP LTD H500 with EMGS because i like the Duncans better)
