Comments about ESP LTD KH-202 Left-Handed Kirk Hammett Signature Series Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar in hopes to get me back into playing and hopefully get back into writing again. I've been a guitarist on and off for many years as well as a signed drummer back in 2005.

This guitar feels great in my hands, but the frett buzz and the locking system at the top of the neck on the strings create so much feedback that it makes me not want to play this guitar.
I cannot seem to keep this guitar in tune for more than 10 minutes while playing it. Replaced strings, the first day I got it and twice after to see if the tuning issue would be resolved. It is not. Hopefully its just this guitar and i will have better luck with another

Left Handers Look No Further for a Great Guitar!

    By Jared Nordblom

    from Michigan

Comments about ESP LTD KH-202 Left-Handed Kirk Hammett Signature Series Electric Guitar:

Quite simply, this is an amazing guitar for the beginner and beyond. I would recommend this to anyone and am sure I'll be playing this for years to come! My favorite thing is the Floyd Rose tremolo system. With other guitars I have/had, I would have to tune it before each practice session. Now, I don't have to as much and wicked divebombs don't have me worrying about it going out of tune. While the Floyd Rose has it's limitations (can't really do alternate tunings without completely adjusting it), it's still a great thing, especially if you want to use the whammy bar to spice up your playing. I keep it in standard tuning and use my other guitar for alternate tunings. If you're a beginner looking for something a little bit better than a cheap beginner model, then this ESP Kirk Hammett Left Handed is for you!
My other guitar is an Ibanez value model without many extra features, so I decided to pick up this ESP. The features on the ESP are far superior with a real Floyd Rose bridge, locking nut, and separate volume knobs for each pickup. Also, the skull and crossbone inlays are awesome and give it a distintive quality not found in other guitars at this price range. Plus, I dig the reverse headstock, as this is my first guitar with one.
When I got this guitar, I took it in to have it professionally set up because I had heard that that was the best thing to do. When I got there, all they had to do was to tune it. It was already set up coming from Musician's friend! The only thing I had to do was to raise the string action a little to keep it from buzzing when fretting notes.
For the price, you can't get any better! It sounds better than my other guitar, and I can tell that it's a lot more durable. Also, there don't seem to be any assembly issues, as everything feels like it was put together well.

    A total rock/metal machine

    By Benjamin Dover

Comments about ESP LTD KH-202 Left-Handed Kirk Hammett Signature Series Electric Guitar:

I have had this guitar about 6 months now, didnt really play it much, it had some really crappy strings on it and it wasnt set up properly, the pick ups were adjusted deep into the guitar cavity, so tone was terrible to non existent, so I was taking my Ibanez Prestige to have a professional set up done, i remembered, hey I'll take the KH-202 that needed some help, dropped them off yesterday... well I picked up the guitars today and proceeded to jam on them, and to my amazement the ESP-LTD Kh-202 lefty, absolutely dominates in tone, and feel, the strings are now nice n low to the fretboard, and it plays wonderfully, did not want to put it down once I got started jamming, a real ESP KH is $2500, I picked the LTD for 500ish, Im so glad i have this guitar rocking now, except I may not get to much sleep this week, I am STOKED! G PS running it through my Line6 IV spider 75 watt, and it kills on the steve stevens settings and of course the Metallica settings as well... rock on

    Good axe for the $

    By Capt. Spectacular

    from Nebulowin 9

Comments about ESP LTD KH-202 Left-Handed Kirk Hammett Signature Series Electric Guitar:

Pros: ESP/LTD makes good guitars, this is no exception.Cons: Basswood, bolt on, licensed FR instead of the real deal, lower quality pickups, intonation probably not set up as well as one would likeHowever, considering that ESP sells an ESP version of this that is STILL bolt-on for thousands of dollars, that is a minor quibble.Very killer looking axe, put EMG's or Blackouts in it and you're golden.

this guitar is nice, althought i would put in EMG's, but its still a nice guitar, stays in tune, the other reviewer here obviously doesnt know how to work a guitar with a floyd rose, becasue if you do, it cant really go out of tune. but still good guitar, nice neck, all is good

Not what i though it was

    By southpawbandit

Comments about ESP LTD KH-202 Left-Handed Kirk Hammett Signature Series Electric Guitar:

I ordered this guitar because its hard finding a nice left handed electric guitar for METAL. So I thought this would be the best choice (considering I'm on a budget) but sadly it wasn't. Its not a bad guitar but I guess I just didnt feel it was right for me. The pickups sound nice you get a good crunch and a nice bluesy tone for soloing. Playing it clean sounds very good. I gave it a 5 on the features because it has everything a metalhead is lookin for, but it just didnt cut it for me. The floyd rose is ok, but it goes slightly out of tune. One of the strings busted on me just by trying this baby out. The quality isnt the best but its ok. To some this guitar could be great. I strongly suggest trying it out at your local music store before ordering. that was my main mistake.
