The ESP LTD M-300FM Electric Guitar has a mahogany body with a flamed maple top, 25.5" scale maple neck with rosewood fretboard, and 24 extra-jumbo frets. Other features include black nickel hardware, ESP tuners, double-locking Floyd Rose Special bridge, a pair of EMG-81 pickups with 3-way switch selector, and volume and tone controls. The lower bout has an extreme beveled edge to give your arm unobstructed access to the frets.

I am in love with this metal monster of a guitar. The pick ups sound so amazing. This guitar feels perfect. The neck isn't too thick, which is something I am very picky about. The floyd works great, but I ended up hard tailing mine because I don't really use it much. I would buy this guitar again.

This guitar is freaking awesome. I bought it used recently, and I do not regret it. The only problem I've had with this guitar is with the floyd rose and string slippage, but I just adjusted it and problem solved. This guitar screams, and it looks and feels nearly perfect, especially for this price range. I would highly recommend this guitar to any of my friends that want to play metal.

I think the trem should work perfectly without fussing with it. Otherwise it's great. An excellent metal guitar for the price. I would recommend it. Just remember to bend those strings at the ends.
I ended up getting this guitar, because it's mahogany w/the maple veneer, emg's and the floyd. I find the pickups and wood to be great. The floyd, as mentioned, can be a problem. I started troubleshooting and realized that the string windings were being pulled on the wound strings. Maybe something about the design. I don't know, but I solved it by bending the string at the end so it was twice as wide. Works great now!
Same as the features basically, but I would like to add that the finish is really great. I've only owned it about a little over a year. Seems to be holding up OK. And I scalloped the neck, so it must be pretty solid.
Great value. You couldn't ask for more. That's China manufacturing thing. What do they do, somehow value their currency against a percentage of our dollar or something? Anyway, it's a great value.

This guitar isnt bad, plays nice, sounds decent, but feels like a toy. ESP began making their sub-1000 series guitars in china, which is probably why these guitars aren't what they used to be. Ive played about 10 of these, every single one had awful fretwork, either some frets were higher than the others or they jut off the fretboard. Definitely spend the extra $200 for a 1000 series guitar, i walked out with a silverburst ec-1000 and couldnt be happier. At least the 1000s are made in korea.

i see that ther is 4 reviews and already problumes about using a floyd rose.and this is a great guitar..iv been playing for 28 years.. metal or any other music.and i dont play a guitar unless it has a floyd rose on it..make shure you stretch your strings real good first.over tune your strings one at a time like a step and a half up and then pull on them a tiny bit..esp is not streching your strings enoufgh at the factory in china..and then thers the 3 locking nuts dont be scared to tighten them down realy good and tight.and thats for the the ones on the back of the floyd rose also.once you learn the floyd rose setup.. you will never go back.if you are going to tune to drop c or b or any other tuning then you need to lossen your trus rod and the springs in the back.thes are the most impotent things you need to do with a floyd rose set up..trust me im a master at it..

What can I say about a guitar that totally rocks it? It's fast, it's clean, stays in tune, and the price can't be beat! The staying in tune all of the time may be because I installed the Goeldo (Goldo) Backbox Tremolo Stabilizer. I also installed Seymour Duncan Blackouts for pickups. The stock EMG 81's still sounded great. But I wanted more mids and more punch to the sound. I am 100% satisfied with this guitar. So much so, that I will be purchasing another one soon! I already have the Black Cherry-colored M-300FM. I'm going to add the See-Thru Black next! This guitar is well worth having for any player at any level.

Amazing guitar overall, the jumbo frets are nice it is very easy and comfortable to move around the fingerboard. The tone is great, the thru neck and EMG pickups help give an amazing sound. The only problem with the guitar is the Floyd Rose trem. When used at all, it tends to de-tune the guitar about half of a step so you have to use the fine tuners to retune every few minutes. Tried to exchange it for another one, but the other one was even worse. If you get it properly set up and can deal with thesubtle annoyances of using a Floyd Rose, then you can't go wrong for the price.

This guitar really surprised me. I was chilling out a music store when i saw this beauty in Black Cherry and the picture on here just doesn't do it justice! it looks beautiful and was set up and tuned perfectly, hadn't been touched apparently.I hooked it into a line 6 with insane distortion and the EMG's on this baby really screamed. The bridge had tons of harmonic saturation and the neck was perfect for sweeping. Then i started to use the whammy bar, and that was just beautiful, i was able to whammy on this guitar for a half an hour and it was still completely in tune. The only reason i put the value not at 5 was because i felt like it was a little expensive, but even if it was $2,000 it would absolutely be worth it. If you love metal, this guitar is completely perfect for you.
