Alright i have the original esp ltd m-50(gun metal), esp ltd 256fm(cherry sunburst), and a fernandes ravelle deluxe(ebony). i have played on the 53 multiple time and its extremely similar but the 50 has a rosewood fret board. it is a nice guitar for a beginner. it has a decent sound range. when mine came in i had to lower the action due to the style i play(alter bridge, godsmack, killswitch engage, etc) i have had mine for 8 years. no issues what so ever. the only thing is that the pickups are low grade(really muddy) which you expect out of a cheap guitar and the satin finish smudges really bad. for a beginner this is great but if you are an experienced player that wants a good sound get the esp ltd ec 256 and put a seymour duncan jb or distortion trembucker also by seymour duncan in the bridge. great guitar and duribility for price. would recommend spending a extra few dollars if you want a better sound.

If you are on a budget look no further!! This guitar is great for all styles and sounds amazing. I play metal/death metal/rock/alternative ect. and man you couldnt't ask for better sound for such a low price! The neck is thin so it makes for playing with ease when you want to play some fast scales or what ever your style.
I rig mine ltd up with a line six half stack and it sounds amazing!
I have had this guitar for 4 years and have not had a single problem with it. Tuners tune the same way they did when i got the guitar and the guitar stays tuned reasonably well for no locks.

Awesome guitar for the price!

Comments about ESP LTD M-53 Electric Guitar:

The tone on this guitar is perfect for thrash metal and heavy metal and the clean is awesome too. I like the 5 switch selector too cause I just flip it up and it sounds just like david gilmours tone. Its a real comfortable guitar to play with and it was way lighter than I thought it would be. The action is awesome, but the only thing for me is when I use the whammy it usually takes at least 1 string out of tune, but its not by much.

Comments about ESP LTD M-53 Electric Guitar:

Before trying this guitar, I was interested in dean guitars. But when I started playing with it, I couldn't stop ! Best quality in the price range. You HAVE to buy it, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or pro, this axe will always come in handy.

Perfect choice

Comments about ESP LTD M-53 Electric Guitar:

Good luck finding a brand new axe as good as this one for this price! Yep, it's not a pro tool and you won't see it in the hands of any full time players, but for the beginner or intermediate players it's a must have. It sets up good, stays in tune and sounds decent. If you are a gigging musician use your high dollar axe up front and keep this one as a backup if disaster strikes. If you are looking for a starter guitar that will be easy to learn on or you are on a budget and playing in a local garage band, you'll love this thing. Wear it out and buy a new one!

BEST GUITAR FOR PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By Anonymous

Comments about ESP LTD M-53 Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar for christmas today and I am unbelievably happy with it. The neck is thin and smooth so it's easy for me to do my solos. The vintage tremelo is probably my favorite part because after you use it the guitar is still in tune. I would pick this guitar over ibanez, gibson, and fender defiantly. GET THIS GUITAR NOW!!!!!
