Where to begin singing this guitars praises?! Right out of the box the setup was almost perfect! only had to adjust intonation on 2 strings! Action was on the money with a neck flat as a table top! The weight, feel, shape of the guitar and neck felt like somebody custom made it for me to play! This was my first ESP guitar...Will NOT BE MY LAST! Love this thing! I don't underdstand how ESP can make a guitar like this for chump change?! I've owned epiphones, fenders, washburns, prs, and the only one that comes close to playability was the prs! I was looking at a Squire affinity strat cause I wanted a fiddle with single coils until i found this beast and I'm glad I did! About fifty cheaper and all awesome! I was considering getting a gibson for my next one but after this intro to ESP....Im going to really have to convince myself to spend the XTRA money on a gibson instead of another ESP! The only and I mean ONLY negative thing I can say about this guitar is the humbucker is spanky! Like little rascal spanky! But more time spent with it I should be able to adjust out what I don't like and if not...for what this thing cost I can always dump another hum pup in it!

If you are on a budget look no further!! This guitar is great for all styles and sounds amazing. I play metal/death metal/rock/alternative ect. and man you couldnt't ask for better sound for such a low price! The neck is thin so it makes for playing with ease when you want to play some fast scales or what ever your style.
I rig mine ltd up with a line six half stack and it sounds amazing!
I have had this guitar for 4 years and have not had a single problem with it. Tuners tune the same way they did when i got the guitar and the guitar stays tuned reasonably well for no locks.

Comments about ESP LTD M-53 Electric Guitar:

The only thing I had to do on receiving this guitar was lower the strings, which was no problem. This guitar plays like a much more expensive guitar and sounds like one also. It is much, much better than what I expected and I plan on playing this for a long time! Couldn't beat the price.

Comments about ESP LTD M-53 Electric Guitar:

outstanding guitar. picked it up for a little over 100. It did need to be set up properly to sound great. it has a very solid feel and good weight to it. the switch and knobs have a heavy feel and work well without noise. the pickups by esp provide a good range of tones and sound good at all levels. it stays in tune very well. although the tuner buttons are really close together and take a day or two to get used to their size. the vintage trem bridge works well and is easy to adjust, I found the bar long for my taste so I cut it down a bit. even the factory strings sound good they are cleartone coated xlight.

Comments about ESP LTD M-53 Electric Guitar:

Alright i have the original esp ltd m-50(gun metal), esp ltd 256fm(cherry sunburst), and a fernandes ravelle deluxe(ebony). i have played on the 53 multiple time and its extremely similar but the 50 has a rosewood fret board. it is a nice guitar for a beginner. it has a decent sound range. when mine came in i had to lower the action due to the style i play(alter bridge, godsmack, killswitch engage, etc) i have had mine for 8 years. no issues what so ever. the only thing is that the pickups are low grade(really muddy) which you expect out of a cheap guitar and the satin finish smudges really bad. for a beginner this is great but if you are an experienced player that wants a good sound get the esp ltd ec 256 and put a seymour duncan jb or distortion trembucker also by seymour duncan in the bridge. great guitar and duribility for price. would recommend spending a extra few dollars if you want a better sound.

Comments about ESP LTD M-53 Electric Guitar:

The tone on this guitar is perfect for thrash metal and heavy metal and the clean is awesome too. I like the 5 switch selector too cause I just flip it up and it sounds just like david gilmours tone. Its a real comfortable guitar to play with and it was way lighter than I thought it would be. The action is awesome, but the only thing for me is when I use the whammy it usually takes at least 1 string out of tune, but its not by much.

I am a Pro and this is one of the only guitars I use in studio or giging. My fave thing is the tone range I get this tone to me stands up to a strat anyday and its perfect for shred or Dave Gilmore type stuff, definetly a best buy.
